Excellent family-friendly stay with superb rooms and breakfast

We stayed here as a family of four and had a fantastic experience. The kids loved it, and the hotel is clearly newly refurbished — rooms, bathrooms, and common areas all feel fresh, modern, and very well maintained. The rooms were cosy, quiet, and properly dark at night, which made sleeping easy for both adults and kids. Temperature control was excellent, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless and very modern, with a nice surprise: a bidet hand shower, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was a highlight — an excellent buffet with a wide selection of fruits, juices, pastries, and a proper egg station offering everything from omelettes to Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine. Quality and variety were top-notch. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Location is also great: around 20 minutes from the airport, not far from the town centre, and close to many Barcelona attractions. Overall, a very comfortable and family-friendly stay. Highly recommended.

We are very happy with the stay. We booked luxury room with balcony and sea view. Worth to mention that the hotel is not the first in the line from the see and the view was limited by the building in front of it although see was visible, we could also see a hotel pool. Room was very elegant and nice, so as the whole hotel. Breakfast bery tasty with large variety of products. Staff was kind although we did not receive upgrade offer or gift in spite of our Accor golden card. Location close to the beach althou fb a bit further from the old town although it is a quick drive with a cab. Metro station and bus stops are also nearby.

On behalf of my company, I booked Sofitel for a large group of our corporate clients attending a conference at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona. Marta was fantastic — she made the whole process so easy, from arranging the booking to making sure my clients received all their details and that our company was invoiced correctly. My clients had an exceptional stay! The service was excellent, the location was perfect, and the hotel itself is beautiful. We’ll definitely be choosing Sofitel again in the future.

I'm writing my review of the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper before even having left my room as my high expectations have been met and surpassed by far by the excellent services provided. Tendiez Restaurant is as much of a treat as the bedding set spread collection. Although the hotel doesn't have its own SPA I always treat myself to an in house massage when travelling, which the Concierge desk was happy to organize in my room with their company of reference. The massage was just perfect and the room, although not a Suite, had enough space to set up the massage table comfortably. The real gems and starts of the show however are the members of staff at the Reception - a big thank you to Olga, Brandon, Amedeu and Nora for helping me plan my time in the city and for making me feel at easy and at home as a solo traveler. Will definitely be back. 5 stars!

I had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper during a large corporate event we hosted onsite, and the experience exceeded expectations in every way. The staff went above and beyond throughout our visit, ensuring everything ran smoothly for our team and our attendees. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and spotless, and the hotel’s location near the beach made it easy for our guests to enjoy Barcelona between sessions. The meeting spaces were bright, well equipped, and supported by an attentive A/V and events team who made logistics effortless. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to delivering a great experience. From check-in to checkout, the service was thoughtful, consistent, and truly five-star. I would highly recommend the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper for both business events and leisure travel. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Barcelona.
