Although its location has the potential to be very good, the fact is that the remodeling of the boulevard in front of the hotel makes it very hard to navigate and noisy during the day. In addition, the hotel was plagued with constant sirens all night and its thin walls make it difficult to sleep. Further, they lack simple amenities such as bottled water, having provided only one bottle of water the first night and only for one person, no tissue box and no top sheet on the bed.

We had a one night stop over in Brussels. We chose this hotel due to it's close vacinity to the EuroStar train station. Hotel is very standard, terrible to find due to extensive construction in the street along the entire frontage of this hotel and neighbouring buildings. Had to park elsewhere and find out how to enter. Car park was extremely tight and lucky to fit the car in. Small bar and some food on offer. Staff were friendly and helpful. Terrible pillows if that's important to you.

The outside of the hotel is less than appealing but once inside, this is a lovely place to stay. The room was well sound proofed and so we were not bothered by noise. We used this as a stopover on an inter rail trip due to it being close to the station, and it was perfect for this.

Very nice hotel, minor issues, would stay again

Arrived from an early flight and were able to check in from 1pm which was helpful. Staff seem quite tired behind reception, but still very helpful. Luggage room and ironing board available. We tried to order breakfast via the door hanger one night after speaking to reception, but unfortunately nobody took the hanger and they still tried to charge us on leaving- it was quickly resolved. Rooms are big and comfortable, the black out curtains work 100% and there is no noise at all. Water pressure in the shower was very low, the bath was quite slippy, and shower door design meant water did leak out. But overall a good stay and would stay again. Good location and really nice building.

Reliable Comfort Next to Brussels Midi Station

If you are looking for a hotel in Brussels next to Midi Train Station, then the Hotel Mercure Brussels Centre Midi should be on your checklist. I love this hotel. This is my third time here and I love the location because it is a seven-minute walk to the train station. The hotel has had quite a lot of construction in front of it for years now, but don’t let that deter you because the hotel has so many positive aspects. The hotel has large rooms and great air-conditioning for the heat of summer. The rooms also have small fridges to keep drinks cold. I appreciate that the rooms are quiet, so you can really unwind after a long day. There is a nice fitness center, but my favorite aspect of the hotel is the wellness area. They have a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna to keep you relaxed and energized. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are attentive. I love staying here and even though some people have reported the area is not so attractive, I would argue that it is perfectly fine. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I pass through Brussels.
