At least it’s near the Eurostar terminal.

Even at check-in the woman was rude and asked me to wait until she dealt with someone else who had pushed in. Room was basic, no tea/coffee facilities in room, no complimentary water, which, after many years of traveling is usually an expectation. Room was clean, although cleaners did arrive quite early in the morning. Toilet had constant running water which was annoying when trying to sleep. There was some external noise in the early evening, although the room was on the first floor . To leave luggage costs 6 euros, payable by card only. Was followed by two young “men” in the neighbouring metro station but when they were clocked they became more wary so managed to evade them. Admittedly not a hotel problem but it’s in the immediate vicinity.

Excellent location and good value for money

The hotel is located right opposite Gare Midi/Zuid so great if arriving/departing the city by train. Metro lines also run from here. The hotel (or perhaps just my room) was quite worn and could do with some attention to it to bring it up to standard. Staff were all friendly and polite. There is no safe or fridge in the room which would have been handy. The hotel offers secure luggage storage for 4 euros for a standard suitcase. Larger cases were 6 euros. I didn’t have breakfast as I thought it was quite expensive at 20 euros but there’s numerous coffee shops in the area. There is also a bar and restaurant at the hotel. There is a supermarket next door for anything you need and some lovely local bars close by. The area is quite noisy (outside the main station with lots people, sirens going past literally every 10 minutes) but the room had good double glazing and hid most of the noise. The Grand Place in Brussels is about a 20/25 minute walk. If you are at the hotel on a Sunday, there is a large street market directly outside which they close the road for. Worth a visit. I’d say my stay at this hotel was average to good, mainly because of value and location. I’d stay again if I needed to.

Best location if you’re trvelling with Eurostar to London

Hotel is right across the train station very accessible if you’re traveling with Eurostar. Hotel is clean with comfortable Bed. I stayed in room 319 on the third floor facing another building but it’s quite.The room is big with bedsofa and coffee /tea making facilities .bathroom is clean complete with towels and amenities. Room was cleaned everyday during my stay. The area around the station is quite scary, lots of strange looking men but i just ignore them i think they are harmless if you just let them do their business and not disturb them.
