We got robbed in this hotel. Will never use Ibis again

WE GOT ROBBED WHEN STAYING HERE! Our stay was extremely disappointing. Poor communication from staff meant we were waiting ages for our room. Once we got into our room, it wasn’t extremely clean, but okay. No hooks for coats. We went out in the evening and got back around 11, where we harassed by locals inside the hotel. My partner was assaulted and had his necklace stolen. We asked the staff for the cctv footage so we can show our insurance, but they did not help. Why was there no security at that time? This ruined our stay and is one of the worst places we have ever stayed at. We have never used Ibis before and probably never will again.

Good...but small

The bed was comfortable, the rooms seemed fairly quiet and the view was quite nice. Breakfast looked good (we didn't have it) and the self service shop was really useful. As with all modern hotels, you need to swipe your card (key) in the lift to use it, which seems mildly annoying but not a big point. The hotel is well situated, about 10 minutes walk from the Grand Place, which means it's also only a short walk to less touristy parts of Brussels. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the room was just too cramped; the door only just opens against the bed and the shower room is so small, it's a bit difficult to use. I'm sure there are larger people than us for whom this could be quite a problem. If we stayed again, I would contact the hotel in advance to check the size of the space - particular the shower room - you're being allocated.

The location couldn't be more perfect! It's right in the centre of Brussels, in a very quiet area with not many cars. I had my window open all the time and it was very peaceful. With a 5 minute walk you can be at 2 different metro lines, lots of great shops and restaurants, and some major tourist attractions like Grand-Place. The hotel was very clean and quite modern, and it smelled nice. The room was the perfect size for me travelling solo, but would be just fine for a couple too. My favourite part of the room was the bathroom with a window to let fresh air and bright light in, and the large bench to put my bags. The price was perfect for my stay, not too expensive but reasonable for the amazing location.

Perfect placed in the middle of everything in Brussels. Friendly receptionists, nice and long breakfast times. Relatively small rooms, but given the room rates fully acceptable. Very very pleasant long weekend for us, look forward to coming back to Brussels as well as the hotel 🙂

Great hotel here in Brussels. Really central and close to the main attractions. Easy access to metro. The beds are super comfy. All in all, a great hotel.
