A nice budget hotel with pleasant reception/food area. Staff were very amiable & helpful. The room was warm, clean & pleasant. The bed was comfortable but I found the pillows too high so my neck tended to ache in the morning. There were no other pillow options available. The shower room was a good size. The shower was adequate but a bit dated, The Ibis Central was in a good location for the town centre & bus station

The room next door kept me up all night. So much so we had to ring reception at like 4am. Worst night I have ever spent in a hotel. Staff were excellent breakfast was lovely. Room was clean. I had stayed before but never again.

The hotel is very conveniently located, with City Hall and shops/cafés/pubs within 5 minutes. The hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. However, the room was very noisy overnight with audible traffic, wind/rain and other guests' bathroom use. The cleaning also left a lot to be desired - beds were made and towels refreshed, but the room was not hoovered at all during our three night stay, and there were stains on the bedding which was also unchanged.
