Positives: good location, easy to get to places in the centre, staff were pleasant Negatives: The bed was uncomfortable The room was very hot Only one lift was working the whole time we were there and we had to wait often The shower went hot and cold The toilet was not clean when we arrived They didn’t let us use the gym and sauna after checking out which was empty every time we had gone so I don’t understand why not. The gym has limited equipment

My girlfriend and I thought the hotel was excellent overall. We stayed in Vienna for six nights. First, the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. I recommend paying for the inclusive breakfast option as it was delicious and filling. Second, the hotel has a great location that allowed us to walk to most attractions or take a short subway ride. Strolling the Grabenstrasse at night was a memorable highlight. We plan to stay here again.

Bad, disappointing and weird

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to read the bad reviews here most of which are almost exactly the same as our current experience. We booked all our stays during our europe trip choosing rooms with Air conditioning specifically. Upon check in, we found out that there was no AC in our room even if it was indicated in the room description prior to booking. Furthermore, as mentioned in the other reviews, room windows cannot be opened unless you are out of the room. They have rooms with windows that can be opened while you are in a room BUT you need to pay an upgrade fee. They feel that you are requesting for a free upgrade when in fact they are deceptive in marketing the room with AC which is so far from the truth. The room is extra hot and stuffy even with the heater turned off. I live in a tropical country and our bedrooms in the house are colder than this room. But the clincher? Shower was clogged. We asked them to declog it. We told the receptionist to do so at 3pm onwards so my brother will be there in the room as all our laptops and other valuables were in the room and we had to go somewhere in the morning. Brother stayed 3-6 pm and no one arrived. When we got back, i saw that a dirty tissue with a disgusting hairball was put on top of a clean towel on the sink and the drain cover was thrown haphazardly in the shower stall. Toothbrush was moved and had black drips around the toothbrush so it seemed that it was used to declog the drain. Unbelievable! Someone went in the room in the morning contrary to what we instructed and which the AM receptionist acknowledged. We reported to the night receptionist immediately and asked to speak to the manager we even showed the photos but she was irritated and made us feel as if we were overreacting. She did not seem to understand what the big deal was in leaving the dirty tissue with hairball on the clean bath towel and someone entering our room when we explicitly instructed them not to. She went to the back office for some time and returned saying that the manager was in a meeting (at night!) and could not talk to us. She said she will just change the towel and to discuss the issue in the morning both of which never happened. We stayed for a further 2 nights and not one staff member attempted to even acknowledge this incident. We never make reviews but this is something we felt people must know about. Coming from munich germany from a wonderful hotel and staff(King’s Center Hotel), this is such a bad experience. We regularly stay in Accor hotels in Asia and we’ve had nothing but good experiences but this adagio is so different from our usual Accor experience and not in a good way. Never again with Adagio. The middle aged male night receptionist is very nice though. He is super friendly and he tries to be as helpful as he can. This is the kind of reception and hospitality we’ve had so far from our other hotels in Europe.

good apartment, plenty of space in a one bed, but, it was very noisy from the traffic and sirens. Its on a very busy corner, with trams, trains & cars.
