Delightful stay at one of the nicest Mercures I’ve run across in any country. Whereas the brand tends to feel a bit dated in Europe, this one was fully up to date with fresh bathrooms and comfortable, clean bedding. Staff are excellent The location was unbeatable, easy to access the old town by foot but not mixed within it. Solid breakfast, though main restaurant and bars offering a bit overpriced.

Great hotel in the heart of Hanoi. Rooms and facilities are modern, clean and comfortable. Easy access to the French quarter, restaurants, shopping, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful during the stay and with luggage storage coming and going and late checkouts to make arrival and departure easy. The front desk and lobby team is exceptional. I would also like to recognize Hung in the office and Linh and Anh in the restaurant area as people who made our stay great.

I had a pleasant stay at the Mercure Hotel La Gare. The staff were welcoming and professional. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The room was quiet and clean. The proximity to the train station is reflected in the design on the walls, which includes wonderful pictures of trains and rail-related items. Thank you to Mr Evard and Ms Nga for their outstanding support. They kindly helped me to reschedule my stay despite the strict rate rules. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Mercure Hotel La Gare to anyone looking for comfort, quality service, and great hospitality.

I would like, as a loyalty member, express my gratitude for the excellent service I received during my stay. I enjoyed the finest French architecture style hotel, but above all I was impressed about the warm Vietnamese hospitality especially by receptionist Mimi. She made my stay very pleasant and comfortable. I’m looking forward to visit Mercure La Gare soon again.

I had stayed at this hotel exactly 6 years ago and enjoyed my stay given its location, service and recognition of loyalty. My recent stay was disappointing. The rooms not the same, the breakfast limited but what I felt the most was lack of loyalty recognition. I have been a Platinum member for many years and this year Diamond. But for the first time ever, no upgrade, no mention, it was totally ignored. So I went up and asked and I was told the hotel is full. Funny how that has never happened before in my stays across Asia, Europe and North America. I hope this hotel understands upgrade is not a freebie. It’s earned after spending literally tens of thousands of dollars.
