The last time I stayed in this hotel I had a negative experience, but didn't write anything, This time I will. I was an Accor member and had around 400 AED on my account, booked it so will redeem it, they REFUSED. and I had to pay AGAIN in cash, whihc was ridiculous especially since I was staying only for several hours before my flight ( arrived around 10 PM evening time and had to leave at 2 AM). The rooms itself are very small and uncomfortable. so not a best place to get some rest before your flight either. No shops around, nothing to do. The second time ( after a year) the company booked for us 2 days more ( just a technical issue), so 7 days instead of 5. We hoped to solve itdirectly and be more practical, which hotel REFUSED and created a FUSS. Instead of transfering one day booking to another day and at least offering us some complimentary dinner or...at least something, since we were not staying 2 days but paid around 800 AED more, we were the one also paying for my breakfast, So we ended up again paying another 80 USD LOL instead of them solving that MINOR thing on their system. They wanted to tour agent to contact them to say to transfer one day. Isn't it laughable? Oh well, what do you know. The next day I am going to have a breakfast .Alright, I entered to their buffet restaurant at 10:36 and the breakfast had to end at 10:30 AM. they see a guest is netering ,they do not give a damn, looking at your eyes and quickly gathering food in front of you and simply sarcastically laughing, as if you are in a nazi army and you had to wake up quickly and not be late for 4,5 minutes ? ANY normal hotel seeing a guest at least would have waited, for her to take something.especailyl if you are in a hotel you have to know about a thing called jetlag, well hre they would give you sarcastic looks and ask to talk to their manager. One middle aged Filipino came. and guess what !! She offered to give me a voucher for a coffee in Starbucks. Can you believe in it ? I became angry told I paid for a breakfast not for a Starbucks coffee and a croissant, and I want to get what I paid for, I dont want a croissant but a proper breakfast. On what she told thats the only thing she could do. That was rude and completely of hospitality industry. I asked for a manager, he came and ... sort of solved it ))))) So I received a croissant from their ridiculous restaurant, coffee and some watermelons )))))) Even tho, I was obvious that I do not want to have a croissant. Over the next 6 days, the same Filipino kept coming to me asking for the room reservation and I was the only one whom he kept asking. in the morning she did not ask the same question to my husband, and he was surprised seeing she come to ask for my room number :)))))) Completely off order and rude, I wouldn't hire someone like that if I was an HR in a hospitality industry. The breakfasts are average, warm food you will not eat if you are European... some fruits vegetables are ok, omelettes, they start to vacuum the floors right at 10:35.. and that noise is horrible, like they cannot wait until everyone leaves and do their vacuum at 11:30 AM an hour after the breakfast. But this is not the only thing. The pool is also ...to say at least weird. The safeguard literally pissed me off. The pool itself is very dirty to say at least, nobody cleans near the sunbeds, neither the pool itself. They usually have towles on the beds so the first day I stayed near the pool for 20 minutes nobody disturbed me, the second day the guard ran to me even tho I was not about to swim in that dirty waters telling I have to take a shower before entering the water. I didnt say anything but I simply didnt swim either. + their shower water is cold and not the way you would like to follow. I also noticed he is not telling this to anyone else, there were lots of men and they all would swim the way they wanted, but somehow he found its his obligation to ran to a woman and inform her to take a shower before swimming. The next day I went to a pool , again the same guard ran to me saying Icant swim without taking a shower . This time I really burnt!!! And I will explain why.. my hairs were wet and I just had a shower in the room with my professional hair care products, I wasnt in that area even to swim there, just was going to sit, but EVEN that attitude is completely unacceptable. You are NOT ALLOWED to talk to women with that manner AT ALL. In case EVEN IF I was dirty. that was a classic harassment by a stuff who couldnt say anything else to a guest rather than some stupid requests. I told him I am going to talk about it to his manager, but I didnt since he informed about that incident by himself scared that I will complain. Hotels are made for people to relax, but Ibis is definitely not one of those, You get pissed off here in every second. I couldnt even enjoy 10 minutes calmly near their dirty pool. I would suggest instead of harassing someone else's woman at least CLEAN near the pool AT TIMES ,so guests will not be disgusted to sit nearby.
