This hotel is a budget hotel with more positive aspects than negative. The friendly, helpful staff really made our stay very nice. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are pre-fab inserts for each room; only one towel per person and the bathroom size is about the size of a cruise ship bathroom. The rooms are very small; the hotel would be perfect for people travelling light with little luggage staying in Munich for a few days. The hotel is very close to an u-bahn station and a surface tram stop; these make the rest of the city very accessible. We were within three stops of the Oktoberfest grounds which is why we were in Munich; the rest of the year someone staying here would be using the transit system a great deal to see the city. The breakfast is excellent. There are not many restaurants close by, but the transportation accessibility noted above makes up for that. Room and public areas were clean.

Ibis Munich City West Hotel a nice location for public transportation.

Oktoberfest 2024 with close friends. Booked hotel 9 months previous. Hotel was clean, staff was very helpful. The location was very convenient to the underground and trams. Hotel was three stops from festival and the tram was a great way to sightsee throughout the neighborhoods. Breakfast was included in my reservation. The food was tasty and nice variety. We did not have drinks but a small bar was in the lobby.

Very good value for money. Pleasant environment, breakfast and staff. Very fast registration in the middle of the night. Clean, very good bed. Staff keen to help. Would recommend and stay again if needed

We stayed for an initial three nights and added three more. The hotel lobby is very modern. The staff is very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast is nice. The hotel is located next to the metro. There is also a cute neighborhood behind the hotel that has wonderful pubs and restaurants. The only thing we did not like were our mattresses - they are thin foam mattresses, and they slide off the bed nightly.

We spent three nights at this Ibis. The hotel is located a little way out of the city centre, but is less than 30 minutes by S-Bahn right into town. It's located on a busy road, which is also well served by buses. The check in was a little slow on the day we arrived, as there was a guest with an issue ahead of us which too some time to resolve. The room was typical of an Ibis. but was decorated in a more modern style, so perhaps this property is newer than others I have stayed in. It wasn't that big, and the bathroom takes up space in the corner. But it had plenty of power points, especially next to the bed. There is a 24-hour garage next door if you need supplies. I was happy with this hotel, and would consider staying here again. It was a little expensive, but we were in town when there was a big event on. I suspect it is usually more reasonably priced.
