We were greeted like old friends. It's been a few months but we always stop here when passing, it is usually pretty reasonable and always clean. With a friendly welcome from Helen as she always does. Thanks again for making our stay a joy

Great wee hotel for the money clean and everything you'd expect from a budget hotel nice breakfast included the staff where friendly also can't fault it really

A BIG NO NO NO (NEVER AGAIN)

We checked in late evening after a hectic day thought of resting in the room, when we found out that the toilet flush didn't work. We thought we would inform reception, and the receptionist gave us another room where the Aircon and Flush both did not work.Without wasting time, we informed reception again. I really wonder what kind of service is this? They apologised, saying its council fault, they are working along the roadside, which would take 20 mins. We said ok and went to eat. After coming back was the same thing. How come the flush button not working becomes the council fault? Imagine how bad was our situation? We cannot use the toilet. The exhaust doesn't work. I wish I could give zero ratings instead of 1star. Never coming back. Not recommended at all.👎👎👎

During the time of your stay, there was an unexpected waterworks issue caused by maintenance near the hotel, which temporarily affected the water supply and, as a result, the operation of some systems such as the toilets in certain rooms. Our team did their best to manage the situation while waiting for the external works to be completed. Dire place not for families

Best part of the stay was leaving - totally echo the views of another unlucky visitor. We had people fighting upstairs, the smell of weed was so strong we had to turn off the AC and close the window, the weed smell was both inside AND outside. The only saving grace was the TV which we put on to try to drown out the noise from within the hotel for my children. Never again! IBIS this hotel does not look how it's shown in the pictures, the WC is like being in an outside privy and the wood-chip wallpaper like stepping back 30 years! The toilet height was so low it was like being back at primary school. The vents were very dirty, the extension socket seemed a bit odd in the room. The layout of the room was okay, towels looked okay. We didn't inspect the bed beyond the covers as we'd had enough with everything else but did see a bit of mottled old mould which I told my children to overlook. The hotel really is dire, saw the police here, heard swearing and anti social behaviour - lift noise all night, doors closing, all in all, really unpleasant and felt seedy. We had to rely on golf on the tv to bore us into a slumber as we were so wound up after 3 hours of weirdness outside our door. Oh and even then our sleep was disturbed by a bloke who kept knocking on doors on our floor "sorry mate got the wrong room" what 4 times! Pull the other one - Weird! I need a week to recover from one night in that place, thankfully the rest of the locality of Wales was better than this hotel.

Tom, the night manager, went above and beyond when I found myself unable to travel home late at night with my elderly mum due to motorway closures. Tom helped me with mum and ensured that despite being very busy we had a disabled room and that we had everything we needed. I cannot thank him enough. The hotel itself was clean, well kept and had everything needed for an over night stay.
