Not a bad hotel. But rooms are dusty, drain are blocked, shower trays like pools Exceptional services by restaurant staff especially Panchi, Kamal. Food takes longer than normal(an hour). Salmon is too expensive for the size get given for dinner.

Great Location and Comfortable Stay Stayed at Mercure Cardiff and enjoyed the central location, perfect for exploring the city. The room was clean, modern, and cozy, though a bit noisy at times. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good variety of options. Overall, a pleasant experience!

Not a very warm friendly welcome

We arrived on Friday afternoon, and weee surprised to find a work desk as we walked through the door instead of a proper reception. We didn't get the warmest or friendliest of welcomes by the lady stood there sadly. She barely looked up at first, then we were given our key but no information about where anything was in the hotel and information about breakfast. The room was ok, stains on the carpet but otherwise clean and roomy. No wardrobe surprisingly. The food at breakfast was fine, but waited a while to be seated, no staff, so gave up and sat ourselves down. Two members of staff on duty, one of which was very polite and helpful. To be honest it was a very disappointing experience for a 4 star hotel. We have had far far warmer welcomes and experiences at Premier Inns

Mediocre stay, staff leave a lot to be desired

Booked here due to having work meetings. Despite advertising as being 24/7 front desk, I arrived early hours of the morning to find no one there. I waited around for 5-10 mins but no one came. There was no buzzer or bell to alert anyone. I rang the phone line hoping that a ringing phone would prompt someone to come to the desk but no one answered the phone, nor came to the desk. Another customer arrived shortly after me and she had to go searching to find someone to check us in. This was the last thing I needed after a very long day, I just wanted to get to bed and not be left waiting for near 20mins. When a staff member came, there was no apology and he just gave me a key card and pointed in the direction of the room. No info about times or where breakfast was etc.. The room was spacious but the carpet was stained in multiple places. The bed was really soft so didn't make for a good night's sleep due to causing back pain. Breakfast. I managed to find where this was and waited 10mins at the "waiting here to be seated sign". Staff kept walking past and ignored me so in the end, I just seated myself. Limited basic breakfast. Some hot stuff and some cold. Drinks selection good. Food was lukewarm but ok. I wouldn't pick here again if I'm honest.
