Great location and aparthotel rooms are perfect for business or families

First impression wasn’t great as our room wasn’t ready at 5pm and we had to wait over an hour for it which after a flight with children wasn’t what we expected, given the checkin time is 3pm, however this was our only negative. Really happy with the location, one minute from the tram and bus stop. Easy access to central Paris, with lovely shops and cafes very close by. The area felt clean and safe too. The aparthotel rooms were clean, comfy and spacious and we had everything we needed. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

abusive practices

I made a reservation at the Aparthotel Adagio, located in Porte de Versailles, on March 21, 2024, for a stay from June 15 to 16, 2024. During the payment process, the website encountered an error. After several unsuccessful attempts, I gave up on completing the reservation. I checked my spam folder and my bank account, and everything seemed normal. The next day, my wife tried again, and the reservation went through successfully.However, when checking my bank statement, I noticed that the amount for two reservations had been charged. I immediately sent an email reporting the technical issue but received no response. I called several times, but the calls were disconnected when I tried to spell out the reservation code (NGCLGWDZ).On the day of the stay, I explained the problem at the reception. They said it would be resolved the next day with the manager. However, the next day, the manager, Emma Corny, was extremely incompetent and unpleasant, insinuating that the issue was my fault. She stated that a refund was out of the question and suggested that I might have used the extra room, claiming that the problem should be reported to the site management company. I believe this hotel engages in abusive practices when reservations are made as non-refundable. I will report this situation to all tourism authorities in Paris and to the owners of Adagio to prevent such incidents from happening again.

Good location and room but staff and customer service shocking

Terrible customer service. Extremely unhelpful staff with no desire to help guests with reported problems. Air conditioning did not work, they offered a fan. We already had a broken fan in the room so told them this wasn’t good enough. They sent a technician up after 3 days who told us they ordered specialist parts to come the next day…this was a lie. The next day I enquired where the specialist parts were and they offered me a fan again. When I returned to the room the whole electrics had failed in the room and we were left in darkness. This was the final straw we asked for a room change and we’re granted this the following day. The safe then failed and wouldn’t open we had all of our money and passports in there along with some valuables. When reported to reception at approximately 7pm, we were told that no-one would be able to help us until 9am the next day. Front door code and Wi-Fi code changed, we thought it was us being stupid but when we finally reported they told us it changed on the 1st of the month. I’m not sure who we were expected to know that. Nothing in the room was changed replenished or cleaned in a whole week stay. You need to go to reception to ask for basic replacement items like toilet rolls and towels. All in all a good location and although the rooms are basic they were more than good enough for a family to stay in for a week and see the sights of Paris. I just wish the staff were more helpful and attentive to guests who stay at the hotel. It’s a nice hotel but considering the size and amount of rooms, there really was very limited staffing with no one visible at front of house most of the time.

Came here on a student trip with a group of 16. The rooms were great, staff extremely welcoming and helpful, and the hotel well-positioned with good metro connections and some useful shops nearby. We didn't try the breakfast but the accommodation itself was great. I would come here again.

Expensive, pretty low service level

When paying so much money, you expect some level of service. They have gone pretty hideous about basic things - cleanliness, housekeeping, etc. They didn't disclose outright during booking, and when I asked, they said housekeeping is paid. Even for fresh towels, you can only ask them in evening, and have to come to lobby to collect. Not staying again.
