Cool hotel but as per some of the other reviews I read, the staff are generally some of the least friendly and helpful that I have encountered. That said, two members of staff were exceptionally good so I guess it's hit and miss when it comes to service. They have a top floor restaurant with a kids menu and table football but I've no idea why are they seemed anti kids. The Mama XL Family room was fantastic for two adults and two kids - great space. Location is pretty far from everything but we managed to travel around on the tram and Metro. Note kids do not travel free on the Metro like they do on the London Underground. There is parking in a brand new multistory carpark next door which the hotel credits you for costing only €25 for 24 hours. Overall a modern, funky, fun hotel but we were not given a great reception on the whole.

This hotel was great for what I needed! I attended unleash and this hotel was a 5 minute walk! The rooms were fine - the beds and pillows were very comfortable! There was no door on the shower - which wasn’t ideal and the shower mat had a stain on it but apart from that it was fine! We had a customer meal in the restaurant - the service and portions was very good! The reception team were also great - printed some stuff we needed and lent me an umbrella for my stay!

Everything is a bit different in this hotel. The design is special but also interesting. I really like the merchandise. The check-in was below par the guy was really totally uninterested in his job. Also not so fan about the atmosphere in the restaurant during dinner a bit mcdonalds like. The beds and shower were great. Breakfast was also very good. Location of this place is not interesting at all if you are visiting Paris.

Had to pay €200 per room deposit and still waiting for it to be refunded very difficult to get through to hotel, tried messaging calling and email?

We stayed at Mama Shelter and overall had a great experience. Everything was clean, neat, and beautifully designed — I was absolutely in love with the hotel’s style. The breakfasts were delicious, and the beds were unbelievably soft — like sleeping on a cloud. In terms of comfort and vibe, it was truly excellent. However, our first evening didn’t go smoothly. We decided to have dinner on the rooftop, and once there, I realized I had a sore throat. So we started by ordering tea, and later placed an order for an Aperol Spritz and pizza, asking for them to be served together. Instead, the Aperol was brought immediately. We politely asked for it to be taken away and served with the food. The waitress seemed surprised, but she took the drink back — and simply placed it on the bar counter. It then sat there for about 30 minutes while we waited for our pizza. Unfortunately, my tea arrived in a very dirty cup, and I had to take it to the bar myself to ask for a clean one. When the pizza finally came, it looked undercooked. And alongside it, we were given the same Aperol that had been sitting out on the bar the entire time. We asked for someone to come speak with us to help resolve the situation, but after a long wait, no one came. The dinner was disappointing, and we ended up ordering McDonald’s instead. That said, the next morning changed everything. I urgently needed sanitary pads and assumed the hotel would have something available at reception. Unfortunately, they didn’t, and I was told to go out and find a shop — which was physically challenging in that moment. While near the ground-floor restaurant, I approached a woman working there (her name is PRAMILA). She initially said she was sorry and couldn’t help — but 20 minutes later, she returned with exactly what I needed. She had gone around the hotel asking staff until she found a colleague who could assist. I was truly touched by her dedication, kindness, and persistence. As someone with over 15 years of experience in hospitality, I know how rare and valuable it is to meet people like that. Thanks to her, our stay became warm and memorable — this is what real hospitality is made of.
