Our choice of hotel accommodation in Melbourne for the previous 15 years visits to Melbourne has been in another hotel near Southern Cross Station, however the other hotels room rates have increased considerably hence the change to Ibis. Ibis requires a $100 deposit on check in, we preferred to pay cash which was easily refunded on check out next day.

I stayed here for two nights and it was super comfortable. The check in and check out process was smooth and the people at the reception are super nice. They are on call and promptly address issues. My TV connection and temporary lost key were address in no time. If you smoke, you can go to the first floor balcony. Very nicely and neatly kept place. Best this that everything is very close to this place. Strain station, airport bus, clubs and lots of places to eat are all close by. If you like Indian food, a world renown Indian restaurant next to it.

One block to Southern Cross Station. Rooms have all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast room has good continental & English Breakfast options, ample selections. Good air con, descent bathroom, coffee making facilities & a comfortable bed in the room. Has great rates, friendly staff. For an economy hotel its location & facilities make it my go to hotel in Melbourne. Well recommended.

Excellent place to stay, 6th floor was very quiet. Room was small but very adequate, very clean with comfortable bed and spotless linen, everything worked and staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was included in the modest tariff so it was excellent value as well. I’d recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable room close to everything In Melbourne cbd at a very reasonable price.

After being messed around by another establishment (that I had pre-booked) I was welcomed with a smile by the lovely staff at the Ibis Styles Kingsgate. Every member of staff that I had an interaction with was friendly, helpful, patient and understanding. The rooms were clean and neat, the shower was excellent. Nothing fancy but everything we needed. Congratulations to all - absolutely top notch.
