My friends and I had to just stay overnight in Melbourne CBD whilst visiting relatives in the suburbs. Arriving from Brisbane into Melbourne Airport, all we had to do was walk to the Airbus Bus Stop, then a half an hour drive into the CBD and a 5 minute walk from Southern Cross Station where the bus pulled in to this hotel - it was so easy! The rooms were small but clean and had nice modern bathroom attached. It had a desk and desktop phone and all other requirements for a short stay. Because of it's location we were also able to access restaurants/7-11 Stores/supermarkets and the free tram real easily. I will use this hotel again.

I stayed 1 night on a recent work trip to Melbourne. The location is very convenient to the office and as a solo female traveller, I felt safe coming and going from the hotel. As always, my stay here was basic but perfectly adequate. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms small but modernised and functional. My only problem with this particular stay was that I forgot to request a quiet room away from the elevators, and I ended up with a room right in front of them. I'm a pretty light sleeper and, although people were generally pretty respectful about not making a lot of noise as they were coming and going during the night, the whoosh of the elevator still woke me up quite often.

Excellent location, close to various restaurants, the train station, trams and the mattress and pillows were excellent. I just did not like that they only served breakfast. Wifi was generally weak, rooms quite small and the housekeeping was not very consistent. in my ten day stay 3 days my room was not cleaned despite being out of the room by 8am. I enjoyed my stay there.

Good location in CBD

The location of this hotel is really good, located at the right of the Melbourne CBD and around 6-7 minutes from Southern Cross Station. With a price around AUD$100 for a twin room, this hotel is located in a superb location. Staff are friendly , while the only downside is the room is a bit outdated, and the bathroom only provide 2 in 1 wash, would be better if have body wash and shampoo.

The hotel is situated in a very convenient city centre location, the rooms are small but clean and the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. Overall good value for money and we would stay again. Downside was street noise, we were on top floor (6) so it was ok, but I would request room away from the street. Also, there was a lack of communication between Booking.com and the hotel and the receptionist was very confused but we got sorted in the end. At all times, email communication with the hotel was very good. If I was booking through 3rd party in future, I would back it up with email confirmation to hotel directly.
