SQUIRES RESTAURANT

Le Squires est réputé pour sa cuisine britannique traditionnelle servie dans un cadre élégant et tranquille. Du dimanche au vendredi : "Carvery lunch", (boeuf rôti, Yorkshire pudding). Chaque soir, menu 'tâble d'hôte" ou à la carte. Fermé en décembre.

Le potentiel de l'hôtel est très fort avec une histoire qui se ressent dès l'entrée dans l'hôtel. Néanmoins, l'ensemble est vieillot et manque peut-être un peu de confort, notamment dans les chambres, surtout avec un tarif pas vraiment bon marché. Le personnel est par contre très prévenant et efficace.

Hôtel confortable et agréable. Aurait besoin d’un petit rafraîchissement. Un peu bruyant. Petit déjeuner avec choix.

The White Hart is a city centre hotel, so one expects some traffic noise; however the rooms overlooking the road could be better soundproofed in this modern age. Our room in the older part of the hotel was looking tired - old mould marks on the bathroom ceiling and mould on the grout between tiles. The car park is no longer exclusively for hotel guests, so it was pure luck if a slot was available when returning to the hotel after a trip out. Perhaps a reserved slot if you pay for parking as a hotel guest would help. The hotel is dog friendly, which is a big plus. However dogs are not allowed in the dining room. A space is reserved for people with dogs to eat in a separate area near the bar. A sign indicating this in the hallway would help all guests to find the correct place to eat and avoid the need to redirect them. On a final note, the staff are excellent and very friendly.
