We have stayed at this hotel for many years around Christmas and then previously for access to airport for early morning flights The hotel seems to be going downhill since the last time we stayed. We stay here because it’s out the way and quiet. However this was not the case this time, there was a DJ on for a big party underneath our room (second floor) I booked this hotel months in advance so I would have expected if there was a party they would move guests who aren’t part of the event, away from it and up higher floors so they can sleep and still enjoy their stay. However we were put in a room where the music was so loud we couldn’t hear the TV and upon mentioning it, nothing was done about it and it got louder until midnight. We were never informed there would be any loud events on when we checked in. In the room there is an advertisement leaflet for room service, which you order via WhatsApp on your phone. We tried to order via WhatsApp (however it said the number was “last seen” over a week ago so it didn’t give us much confidence) after waiting a few hours we went down to the bar to get drinks instead. Really disappointing they advertise the service in the rooms but it’s not actually in use? Strange The window ledges had mud marks and dirt on them which was horrible also I wouldn’t stay here again, which is a shame but it seems dated and like it needs help with some services, don’t know how a hotel can advertise room service and then not actually have any, not sure if management are aware of the issue but seems like the hotel needs a refresher on a lot of basic things

Clean and comfortable room, there was nice and clean gym, an indoor swimming pool and a heated sauna room. The tram station is close to the hotel (4mins walk), it takes about 20mins to city center on trams. KFC and Krispy Kreme are adjacent to the hotel.

The most pleasant, helpful and friendly staff I’ve come across in years… Great location, city center easily accessed by tram, great food with generous portions, great bar with some live music (but not loud)… Did I mention the staff..?? I’m sorry I didn’t catch names but they were all so kind…

I was at a Christmas party at the Novotel hotel at Edinburgh Park last night. Every part of the evening was exceptional from start to finish. All staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable. The food was to a very high standard and enjoyed by everyone. I will definitely be back to visit the restaurant in the near future.

Excellent hotel. Third time staying here in a couple of years and it continues to be excellent value for money. The location is perfect, only a minutes walk to the tram stop to get directly into the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel has a lovely pool, perfect to relax after a day in the city. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection on offer and the service from all staff is superb. Will definitely return again.
