£89 for a family room, 3 of us not bad huh. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to an executive suite...nice thank you However 1 queen bed (which wd had booked anyway) and a sofa bed for my son No third bed made up No towels for the 3rd person No cup or glass for 3rd person Went to reception and was told maid will be on way.. no maid So I approached reception as we were quite keen to explore but didn't want to get back late to find No bed for my son. Receptionist this time wanted to charge me for the 3rd person!!!! Had to prove through booking.com that I had paid for 3 people Headed out and returned with exactly what I had actually ordered, also did hear reception tell all guests their rooms had been upgraded..not sure really if this was truth. Rooms though very very clean and bathroom immaculate Bit noisy on a Friday night as on a main street but this isn't a fault to the hotel Didn't eat here bit had a coffee and a game of pool £1.50 so ok no cash is taken here either which I guess is normal now 11 floors so big hotel lift working fine Breakfast was £16 BUT we didn't indulge Swimming pool was so cold But as a hotel I would return if I came back to Liverpool If your heading to Anfield receptionist will call a cab it cost us £12 however head to the bus station 4 min walk and it's £2 each and actually a nice route.

Worst Hotel Manager - Gilles

Made a complaint about my booking at the hotel! Was told by Gilles, the manager that I shouldn’t have made a booking I cannot afford and should walk out of their premises! Asking me to find a more affordable location for my family and I Hotel is dirty! With unpleasant staff. Manager is rude! Not worth your money. Booking.com also advised they process a refund and he refused! He said the money was too important to Novotel and cannot release my money! Looks to me the manager is pressured from their head office to get as much money as possible.

Very unhelpful and ignorant evening shift staff, zero service minded that left me very frustrated and gave an unpleasant last impression. This hotel has previously otherwise experienced to be a quite good hotel on several previous visits. Such a shame to disappoint returning guests status member denying a trivial issue not to honor the free drink voucher I should receive as a ALL silver level member. Such a shame…..fortunately there are many other similar hotel options in Liverpool for future visits that are most certainly more service minded.

Nice, clean hotel with larger rooms than expected. Not sure about the bathroom set up...sink separate from toilet, but it's not a deal breaker. (Shower and sink were separated from toilet) Beds OK, but not luxurious. Good price and overall value.

I've just stayed with a group - 17 of us - and we chose to eat at the hotel each evening. For 4 nights, the only vegetables were cauliflower and broccoli, sometimes potatoes/chips. The cauliflower and broccoli were often very hard. On our last night, we complained and asked for peas which were provided! What excitement. The starters were always salad and on the first night there was a very nice looking potato salad. I couldn't even cut the potatoes. The food overall was very disappointing - it seemed that they weren't able to cater for a number of people. Some of us had trouble with the room keys when using the lifts and door locks. The staff were always helpful, the rooms were clean and it was nice to have a fridge and safe. It's in a good position, very near to restaurants, shops and the Albert Docks. I wouldn't stay there again though - sorry!
