This is a formal complaint: on 26/04, after 12 hours flight, arrived at this hotel and it was closed due to floods that happened in dubai a week before. No one took a minute to contact me prior to my arrival, prior to my flight to let me know in advance they could not honor the booking so I could make changes in advance. no email, no call.... When arrived after 12 hours travel and a night in a plane, i found a closed hotel, with a few people wandering inside, no-one took notice of care of a client trying to understand why the hotel he booked in was closed... And then It became very clear why no one called in advance : one hotel staff told me I could move me in their sister hotel the ibis Deira. ( 20 km away on the other side of the city, same owner obviously... looks like the client is definitely the last priority...). I then complained and asked to be moved to the ibis al Barsha that is only a couple of km away, and explaining the location choice had been made for a reason, they made the arrangement... Then went to that ibis (at my own cost and after wasting another hour discussions). checked in for the same dates and paid, and gave again my loyalty card nb, yet the stay is not reflecting on my account.... I look forward a formal apology as this is not acceptable that a customer is not contacted prior to check in when the hotel has closed and cannot honor the reservation, and also, I am still to receive the credits of the due loyalty points for that stay. after 4 stays in that hotel in the last year, it shows really how they care about customers...

Worst experience with closed hotel and no communication

I wanted to give it a zero or negative if possible. I booked this property solely because of attending an event at Madinat Jumairah sometimes in mid April for 4 nights. When i finally landed in Dubai today on 5th May and reached the hotel to my horror it was deserted. Then a secuty officer appeared and took me to the next door property at novotel suites - i was told both properties are closed and they are shifting the guests to one of yheor other property which is 20 km distant at Deira amd which will easily take 45 mins to an hour to reach. They explained ablut the damage due to rain and these properties were closed since mid april. While i understand that those damages,closures beyond theor control what was extremely disguisting was no prior intimation to the guests with cancellation option in which case we could have taken a cal either to take refund and book a property near the event or continue with their lroperty in that super remote place - they just left a very junior staff Zeeshan who has no clue or cant justify an action from his senior management. This is the worst experience and communication seen anyehere in a decent brand like accor - on top of this when i enquired if they will arrange for transport given i am placed in a super unfortable location when i thought i am sraying next door the staff did not respind. Extremely dissatisfied and in Singapore it calls for a criminal and penal action with hefty fines not sure if Dubai tourism will take a similar call

Disappointed! We were group of friends staying in the property and Nishadi in the front staff was rude and unhelpful! She was not even interested to listen and offer us an alternative solution to accommodate our concerns! The kind of attitude shown to us made us feel unwelcome! We stayed a night before at Ibis Al Rigga and our stay was pleasant!

Unpleasant Service from Nishadhi

Our stay started to go downhill when we were checking-in and attended by the staff, Nishadhi who is very unhelpful and sarcastic with her responses. We shook it off as we have great plans ahead. However, for the following days that we were there, Nishadhi remains to be in rudely manner and very unaccommodating. Been staying at IBIS in different locations. IBIS MOE is not really recommended.

Amazing stay. Thanx to Khaled at the front desk for his amazing and prompt service. Keep up the good work. I will definitely be back because Ibis has been my favourite for years. The chicken and avo burger from in room dining was also very satisfying.
