Basic and simple - exactly what we needed

This hotel has decor that might resemble a prison room. But so what? It's warm, comfortable, easy and all you need for a single night as a place to crash after visiting the local boozer establishments. Friendly staff at reception as well, always smiled and shared great banter. Only real issue is the parking. The hotel seems to share spaces with resident parking for nearby tower blocks, so it's a pain trying to find a space that isn't a resident one. Get a space though and you're all set.

Booked this hotel by mistake but it was ok but sadly no food available so visited local pub. Room and facilities good for overnight stay. Quiet bedroomfor a city centre hotel. Staff very friendly and parking available which was essential. would stay again if necessary.

Used here for a base whilst catching up with friends in Southsea. Basic small rooms with comfortable beds and a good shower. Separate toilet felt like it was straight out of a prison block. No tea coffee facilities no kettle. Room cleaned until last full day when we went out at 10.30 am maud was next door and greeted us. Upon return our room had not been done and when we brought this to the attention of the desk we were told no maid service on a Sunday. No clean towels etc not impressed ( partner is a hotel inspector so has been noted) when we questioned the lack of room servicing the French lady on duty grasped my partners arm and was told to remove hand and back away. If you stay here I hope Tina is on as she is definitely the best staff member here and is wasted here. Comfortable but in need of a tidy up and ok until the desk incident.

We wanted a clean and cheap hotel for a stop over in Portsmouth and the Ibis Hotel (next to Fratton Park) was an excellent choice. The staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast was just what we needed - simpler than many hotels that give you far too much and charge accordingly. We will definitely be coming back to the Ibis (incidentally, the car parking spaces are alongside the hotel and marked “Hotel” - the B&Q car park can also be used as an overflow)

This hotel is more of a hostel. I’ll start from the inside out, The outside parking is almost non existent and there are around 15 parking bays, the rest of the hotel parking is at a B&Q car park well out of sight. The reception area is basic and if you want drinks they are from vending machines. The room is poorly maintained and the decor is appalling, no carpet on the ground wood chip on the walls. The toilets located in what was once obviously a storage cupboard and it’s very compact to say the least. Decent shower and the staff are friendly and polite.
