We recently considered the Novotel Nusa Dua Apartments for our next family holiday (2 adults & 3 children for 12 nights). The rooms looked spacious, and the details on the 1 bedroom apartment suite king bed "sleeps 5". However, before we committed to making the booking, we thought we would confirm the sleeping arrangements and provision of bedding. To our absolute amazement, the hotel confirmed that whilst the room will accommodate 5 guests, this is on the condition that 2 children share the king bed with the 2 parents, and the 3rd child sleeps on a fold-out at and additional cost of 500 000 IDR per night. The hotel was then quick to state that if beds were essential, then we should consider a 2 bedroom apartment at almost double the cost. Furthermore, breakfast is only provided for 2 adults and 2 of the 3 children, regardless of how many children you state in the filter when making your booking. When I brought up the issue of blatant false advertising, they were not quite so prompt in responding to my queries. It pays to check the details before you book. Finding out something as critical as having to purchase a bigger apartment upon arrival, would have been heart breaking. Needless to say, we won't be staying at the Novotel Nusa Dua anytime soon and am glad I asked the question before booking.

After we arrived in bali we realised we had left all our money in a hotel safe in melb very stressful ,the novertel at the airport went above and beyond to help us by calling sofietel in melbourne twice to sort the problem out ,they never charged us a penny more than happy they could help ,so we organised to get some money through western union ,but they put it on hold as it was a large amount and said we had to call them ,we couldnt make calls from our ph so we went to reception here at nisa dua ,they called for us and then hit us for $35 we feel this is an outragious amont ,they didnt care about our stressful situation at all ,the lady was rude when we quered the price,very upset,the breakfast needs to be changed on different days not the same everyday like it is,the staff are lovey around the pool and resturant ,i think the novertel needs to take a few tips from the novertel airport which is half the price ,there breakfasts are amazing wide variety of food and fruites

I have stayed with my family at Novotel Nusa Dua on three other occasions. I have also previously recommended it to friends and family and they have travelled with us on occasions. Unfortunately our experience this time was unsatisfactory. We stayed from 11-18 October. From the outset it was clear that the overall standard had dropped significantly from our previous experiences. We understand that COVID took its toll, but it’s time to move on. Some of our experiences were: -The room was tired, there was mould on the bathroom walls, the floors did not look clean, the glass flower wall feature was full of mould. -We found a used Band-Aid on the bedroom floor. -Despite asking the pool towels were never replaced (and only two towels for the in room pool for four registered guests). -Very limited kitchen utensils (no bowls, no toaster, 2 x spoons) -No cleaning or washing up products at all. -Coffee and tea never replaced. -The towels and sheets were in poor condition - thin and old towels, some even ripped. sweat stained pillow cases. We love the pool area, but the furniture was tired and limited. Even for the small number of guests that were there. The beach club was particularly sad. The furniture at the beach club was even worse and is in need of replacement. There was no music and the atmosphere was poor.

This is our second visit to the Novotel (15th+ visit to Bali). When we were here in 2019, we felt the Novotel met the needs of our young family and we had a wonderful time. So it was a no brainer to come back. But when we looked at the prices on their website, it was more than double what we paid last time. We felt for the same money we could go somewhere much more luxurious! However we managed to find a an apartment within the Novotel to rent out privately for half the price. I did email the Novotel to see if they would price match, but they came back with a price even higher than what was on their website! And I’m an Accor member too! So after a lot of thought about where to stay, we decided to book the apartment privately. I would definitely recommend this option to others as you get to use all the facilities for half the price of booking through the Novotel. And to be honest, as much as we love the Novotel, it’s not worth what they charge for their rooms. And because of this, I think this will be our last stay here as there are many hotels in the area that are much nicer and better value for money. The sad thing is, it was so quiet at the hotel (great for us, not for them) which I think would change if they reviewed their value proposition and decreased their prices. Also, don’t bother with the theme dinners, these are also over priced and very underwhelming! Pros: - great apartment style rooms - The pool is huge and the perfect temperature - Location is great for Nusa Dua - Staff are lovely - In Balance Spa is amazing! - Lovely gardens Cons: - way overpriced - Apartments are quite dated - Food is average at best

We have enjoyed the facilities at this property on numerous occasions as part of Accor Vacations Club. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and were pleased that the standards have not dropped since last we visited in February 2020 before Covid struck. The staff on Reception, the Restaurant and House keeping are just so very helpful and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The gardens are immaculate and provide a serene ambiance.
