Unreliable and meaningless apology

I stay every year, usually twice. Last year, i had a bad experience with the Spa. The room was cold, and the controls for the water jets did not work in all areas. When i did find an area that worked, the water was cold. I raised a complaint. I did receive a lovely email apology, offering me an upgrade on my next stay. I was to contact the assistant front of house manager directly. This compensated me for the amount spent on the Spa. I went to book my stay, and as instructed I wrote directly to the person who emailed me. No response. I tried a second time, a week later. Still no response. I called and left a message. STILL NO RESPONSE. so, the offer was not genuine. All to save them what £50 on an upgrade, and £30 that I spent on the Spa? If they are that desperate for £50, its rather sad. So disappointed that they just didnt care.

Great place to spend the night before a flight.

fantastic staff, including Georgia and Noor! Everyone is super attentive and committed to making you feel welcome. It isn’t the least expensive hotel at the airport, but the amenities and conveniences make it very worth the expense. Highly recommend if you want to pamper yourself.

Disappointing stay at Heathrow Sofitel

I am sad to say my stay on September 26th was not as good as I expected it to be, nowhere near as high standard of the Nice Sofitel. The bathroom sink had a big crack in it, with the taps not being cleaned properly and the bedroom carpet was really badly stained. I did go back down to reception to let them know and show them the photos as I wanted to ensure they knew about the damages and did not try to bill me for them. I thought they might have said, sorry we will move you but no, nothing, just a "I have noted your issues and you will not be charged for the damage". I had hoped this hotel would be my go to hotel pre/post Cruising on the Med but alas it seems not. After what I paid for my room I did expect it to be clean and fit for purpose. I will say though, the toiletries smell divine, omg they were amazing. For some reason I am unable to upload the photos at this time.

Very well served by Allister, Jeanette and the young man who took my luggage up in my room. Sorry I didn't get his name. Quick check in and upgrade after a very long and bumpy flight from the US! Clean rooms where you actually don't hear anything and can get a good rest.

Convenient for early morning flights at Heathrow

We had actually upgraded our room when we arrived to be able to check-in a few hours early before the check-in time. With the upgrade to a Luxury Room, we had access to the lounge, where we took advantage of tea and desserts in the afternoon and then came back for appetizers in the evening. Everything was delicious. Our room and bathroom was spacious, clean, the bed was comfortable. It also had a complimentary mini-bar. And even though we were at the airport, our room was pretty soundproof which made it nice and quiet. We only spent a night as we fly out early the next morning, but we were quite pleased with our stay. We will stay here again, should we be flying out of LHR!
