Never ever again....I'm still here in room 8 and there's either a herd of elephants in the room above me or someone is just throwing kettle bells on the floor...all evening and all morning since 6.3iam. not sure if it's them or that the floors are made of bolsa wood When I pay to stay in a hotel I dont expect to then pay 9 quid to park my car when the carpark is at the hotel! Filled the sink to keep things cool ( no fridge) and all the water leaked all over the floor. I'd have had a more relaxing stay if I had sleep in my car. Not been for breakfast yet but dont expect much. Might get me away from the constant banging above me though.

Location is perfect for the arena, also for the tram to get to Meadowhall. It’s definitely budget, but fire bed over the top of the double is horrid, and would only put a small child in it. very clean , but my god ,, the smell in the room is gag worthy. My daughter was physically sick because if the smell.Run water through the shower and sink then put the plug in.. window open an vent on.. only down fall of this budget ibis

I have been staying at this hotel 2 to 3 times a month since August and it is more than good value for money, when there is nothing on at the arena. I have read some comments about the rooms not having a kettle and it makes me wonder what people expect when they book a budget hotel. Of course you do not get a kettle or tea and coffee in the room, the clue is in the name. Prices do go up significantly when there is an event at the arena, Don Valley Bowl or Sports Centre but that happens with every hotel in the area. The rooms have always been clean with plenty of towels and a really good hot shower. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. There are fridges downstairs with drinks and snacks, a coffee machine, and plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and fast food nearby. Parking is now £8.50 per 24 hours which is still reasonable for the area. Overall it is a straightforward, reliable place to stay and excellent value outside event days.

Great location for the arena, The room was very basic not kettle in the room the standard room a double bed with a bed over the top not ideal for a group of friends staying together as the top bunk isn’t made for adults as the ladders are so thin, there’s only two plug sockets in the room no way near the mirror so you can’t do your hair the toilet is so small if your on the larger side you wouldn’t fit. Not worth the money for one nights stay. Would not recommend,

Cost £140 for one night for a twin room. Don’t believe their false advertisement “ Perfect for sharing with friends and colleagues”. I shared with my son and I definitely wouldn’t share either a college as there is no where to get changed as there is not separate bathroom. The sink is in the room so you can’t have a private wash. Don’t pay for the breakfast as it’s toast and cereal. The only thing going for this hotel is it’s spitting distance from the arena
