I moved to this hotel to be a bit closer to Wien Messe for a conference but also have reasonable access to the city in the evening. The room was ok but the carpet was stained, the bed wasn’t very comfortable, the bedding was rough and there were multiple curtains that let the light in at all the joins. The shower water temperature constantly fluctuated resulting in sudden scaldings. The breakfasts had fairly limited offerings, enough to get by but nothing great. There are many hotels around this price point and whilst it was ok, I would try a different one next time.

Typical Novatel hotel, clean hotel with little character and expensive breakfast when outside the hotel there are a lot of cheaper alternative places to eat. Hotel is waking distance to Underground, to Prater, to St Stephens Cathedral and other attractions. For amount paid for room, i would look around more to find an alternative cheaper hotel of same standards.

It’s a Novotel as normal but the staff make this one very special

Yes, the rainfall shower in room 818 didn’t work and so we had to use the attachment, but this is the only down side we could find! To say the staff were helpful and accommodating is a complete understatement- we could be seen as ‘pain in the bum customers’ (we ran a holiday park for 10yrs and we would’ve rolled our eyes but continued on just as these guys did) as we arrived early and paid for a late check out - as we were taking a sleeper to another city we then had to store our bags but the reception staff didn’t twitch. The room was clean, even by my standards; there was a mini fridge with a bottle of water inside for our consumption, the staff gave my children gifts on arrival and on their beds was a special children’s soap, too. They appreciated (or at least pretended to) our attempts at conversing in German. We thought the staff were absolutely amazing - shout out to Nadine who allowed us an early check in, the chap who checked us in and the lovely lady with the long blonde hair (and the English lady who stored our bags in the private office when the luggage room was full!)…

They are trying to be 4 star, but... So behind it. Just simple things like air conditioning is not working properly... Of course I can report it to manager, but will it be fixed while my stay here? No matter what are reasons,simple things shall be ok. At the check in - before us, there were 2!!! guests complying on room cleaniess and service in general...

The rooms were clean. The room service lady was super polite. We had clean towels every day. The toilet room was separate from the shower room which was really convenient for a family of four. The fridge, the safe, the kettle, and the espresso machine, all added to the value of the room. Nice views and really good breakfast, where you can have waffles, pancakes, and order omelets and eggs as you please.
