Stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane Central from 13 to 15 November and while the concierge staff were fantastic, I felt I was discriminated against in the lounge and bar. Only given canapes when I requested for them 30 mins later, whilst everyone else around me was being offered. Waited 32 mins for a cocktail to be made in the bar whilst the bar was empty and had no explanation for the wait. Lodged a formal complaint with the hotel on 20 November. Received a phone call at 7am on a weekend - 9 days later - to discuss further. I returned the call on Monday and have no reply since.

So convenient and a positive experience

I found the sofitel so convenient. It is directly connected to central station, so the airport train can be accessed without having to go outside with heavy luggage. The rooms are comfortable but the bathroom needs a walk in shower not a tub with a shower above it. The beds were great but I hate feather pillows. Couldn't find any reference to a pillow menu. Breakfast was amazing and every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. They made our stay comfortable and easy. The lifts were fast and they all were operational at the same time, so the wait time was short. The most important thing was my daughter and I enjoyed our time there and felt like valued customers. All Accor membership is one of the best schemes I have belonged to it is great value. I would stay here again for sure.

I stayed in a Signature Suite and while staff were consistently pleasant, several operational issues made the stay disappointing for a Sofitel. Check-in felt disorganised: I was told I’d receive a call when my room was ready, but none came, and when I returned later the front desk mentioned my key card had gone missing. In the room, the décor felt tired, the bathroom moisturiser was empty, and no coffee cups or mugs were provided at any point — I had to use glassware instead. Coffee pods were not replenished at turn-down or during the next day’s housekeeping service. I later discovered that turn-down service was intended to include bed preparation and a lavender spray, neither of which occurred during my first two nights. Club Millésime was underwhelming with a limited selection, and breakfast didn’t feel premium — guests juiced their own fruit and made their own coffee via a corporate Nespresso machine. After moving to another Brisbane hotel, the contrast in service consistency (and having a barista at breakfast) was noticeable. On the positive side, the location is excellent, directly connected to Brisbane Central station, and the room was comfortable aside from some noise from hallway doors. Given the price point, the stay didn’t offer good value and I’d be hesitant to return.

I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are cleaned and excellently appointed. However, the bathroom is a little dated but still clean and easily usable. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. A particular mention to Colin the door man for his assistance. This hotel is situated close to, or a short walking distance from all city attractions. Central station is right next door.

I stayed here for two nights in November 2025. The hotel is located directly above the Central Station (look for the signs) and right in the heart of the central shopping/business area. The location is so convenient, and 20 minutes on the train from the international terminal at the airport. The service at the front desk was very polite and prompt. The room was clean with all the usual amenities. However, a harder pillow would have been appreciated. I did not have breakfast at the hotel. However, there is a large bar by the lobby and that was a good place to hang out with a glass of wine.
