ibis Barcelona Pza Glories 22 2 estrelas

Not worth €150 a night, located in a very quiet residential/industrial area that is dead at night. About a 10 minute walk from Rambla Poblenou where you can find about 4 blocks of restaurants and shopping. 10 minute walk to either metro Glories or Llacuna. Breakfast is €9 per person, not worth it, you can get a much better breakfast(hot..not cold tortilla española) at Little Fern nearby. I stayed at Ibis Cornella for %60 less and about the same type of area and distance from metro and travel into the tourist area of the city without the sewage smell in the Glories area. A good 20 minutes walk to the beach. Would not stay here again as a visitor unless I had business in the immediate area.

The hotel is nice, just as other Ibis hotels. Location is ok - a bit further from La Rambla, Plaza de Catalunya and the beach, but the closest metro (L4) is just 5 minutes away by foot and it has good connections with other metro lines. There is a shopping center close to the hotel, with few good restaurants and grocery store. The room was clean and good choice if you're staying in Barcelona for few nights. It had everything we needed. Barcelona is not cheap in the high season and the price for staying at this hotel is not low either, but it is worth staying here..The staff was also very nice.

The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The Pobleau Nou district was a short walk away for finding great restaurants. The beach was also nearby, as was the bus and metro station. Wide assortment of food choices for the breakfast. Obviously since we returned to the hotel on our second trip to Barcelona we think higly of it

Good hotel, easy walk from the underground, well located for town access. Really nice staff, amazing welcome for a budget hotel (this makes a massive difference) clean basic rooms, food was ok. Would recommend for a good base to explore Barcelona. Great price for the quality offered

The rooms here are simple but functional with everything you need so no complaints for the price you pay, and all staff members I spoke to were helpful and friendly too - can't fault them at all! Breakfast was included in my stay and I had it most mornings - each morning I enjoyed it and the bar/restaurant area was always clean and welcoming. The hotel is just ten minutes from the Glories shopping centre, tram stop and metro station and a few minutes from the Llacuna metro station so it's a good base to explore the city if you'd rather not stay right in the centre itself. Free coffee and tea facilities throughout the day would have been nice - with no kettle in my room, once breakfast ended for the day I had to pay for coffee downstairs, but other than that there are no real complaints. Would stay here again if I'm back in Barcelona for a short stay!
