Simple hotel with an attentive front-desk staff above a metro station and walking distance to many of Milano's great treasures. The bathroom was modern and the bed was hard, but comfortable. The only concern is that there is a lot of street noise and merriment heard in the rooms. I have stayed here before and will do so again.

good hotel , very near metro stop line 1 , super convenient confortable , quiet , nice welcome , only issue it was very expensive at this period of the year , there should be other rate during the year

Great location near the city center . I chose it because it is the only 4 star hotel in Milan from Accor . Unfortunately it doesn’t deserve neither satisfy any 4 start criteria : absolutely lack of client care , poor breakfast as assortiment and quality, old furniture, no restaurant , few choice of tv channels , super noise room heating , no “Accor fidelity Programme. “ benefit offered . I hope Accor will review the hotel category and will open a decent hotel in Milani, otherwise I will change chain.

Customer care is the strength of our staff, for which we always receive very positive reviews. We will treasure Your considerations to improve the quality of our breakfast service; it is necessary to advise You that, since Mercure Milano Centro is an ancient Milanese building, the planimetry is not a modern one and that is why, at the moment, there is no room for a restaurant. Moreover, we are sorry because You did not entertain with any of our 54 TV channels. As for the noise of the heating system, we did not receive any reports of a necessary intervention from Your side; our maintenance technician would have been glad to fix the problem as quickly as possible. Finally, as in Your previous stays, You received the "Welcome Drink" set aside for Accor members. We hope to see You again in our Hotel. I arrived three hours early at the hotel due to my flight time and was greeted warmly. I had prearranged I could leave my suitcase with the hotel whilst I explored the city until my room was ready. The staff at the reception offered me a room they had ready or I could wait for a room with a view out the front which I opted for. They took my case to my room and offered me use of the toilet and lounge area. It was a nice touch to receive a text when Room was ready! A welcome drink was offered from the mini-bar (i.e. water, soft drink or beer) which is a unique experience. In my room, the main light hung low so I hit my head on it quite a bit (I’m 6ft 4”). The sink was blocked (the water did not drain) although this was sorted the next day as there is a card which can be completed for maintenance issues so was rectified as soon as it was brought to their attention. The toilet roll holder is not fitted in an ideal place as it where your leg would go so you end up sitting at an angle on the toilet. The curtains in my room did not close fully so there was a small gap in the middle but fortunately this did not affect my sleep. There were no robes provided but there were paper slippers but only useful for those with small feet. My room was hot when I checked-in (temperature outside was 25 degrees) and the air conditioning is turned on an off by reception which is not convenient. When I requested it to be turned on it was. Large shower with rainfall head and a flexible head was ideal. Usual Mercure toiletries provided. The room was clean and bedding comfortable. I was disappointed with the breakfast due to the lack of selection and the poor-quality cooked product which consisted of small pieces of cold sausage (frankfurter style), rubber egg like an omelette cut up in to pieces and ham. There was a reasonable Continental selection and Apple flan. Nutella style chocolate to go with pancakes etc. On the plus side, the coffee was nice and the fresh bread was also nice. There were a few flies hanging around the area although the cheese and cooked breakfast was covered to protect it. If I stayed again I would opt to eat breakfast out. Hotel is a few paces from the Metro (literally exit the hotel main entrance, turn to your right, walk a short distance and turn to the left and the escalator down in to the metro is there. You can be onboard a Metro train in about 3 minutes if you time it right. You can walk to the Duomo which takes about 20-30.I would stay again.

The possibility for arrival by car is hopeless. Not even any space for temporary parking whilst check in. Further more guests have to pay the 'valet person' (30 Euro per night) directly in cash and this amount does therefore not appear on the official hotel invoice. This is a very strange and inconvenient arrangement. We wonder whether it is legal ???? Room 205 has very limited access to daylight.
