Great Location. Two bus stops right in front of the hotel. Public transport is free. Some of the best views of the old town. Great Breakfast. The SOFITEL F&B Manager put together a great Breakfast open buffet.Great choice,quality and fresh. The Sofitel Grand Ducal Maitre de Hotel put together a great team, thank you to Ms.Carol from Peru, the Moldovan 4x4 , and all the others. Housekeeping nearly perfect. Front Desk perfect. The Concierge function can be improved upon if they could only provide competitively priced taxi options to guests. Some junior Concierges indicated that they would like to be further appreciated in return for sharing information or assisting with communication in French. The seperatly located toilet could use a thrash can. Carrying your dirty thrash between rooms is a bit inconvenient. Nearly perfect. Will definitely return.

Excellent service, good restaurant and central location. A very solid choice for business travel to Luxembourg. Location is a 10 min walk from the center

Deeply disappointing experience

There are a few genuinely positive aspects to highlight about this hotel. The view from our room is absolutely stunning, the housekeeping staff are exceptionally pleasant and hardworking, and the beds are remarkably comfortable—I haven’t slept this well in years. Unfortunately, these are the only strong points of our stay so far. The damage deposit is €400, not €250 as stated in the “Important and Legal Information” section on the Booking.com app. This discrepancy should not happen in a five-star establishment. The hotel also offers very few facilities considering its price point and advertised rating. Beyond a small entrance lobby, a restaurant, a bar, and a compact gym, there is little available for guests. To make matters worse, tonight the restaurant is closed for a private event, and the already small lobby has been turned into a coat-check area. As a result, we are unable to use the lobby to relax or dine in the hotel restaurant. Not informing guests of such disruptions in advance is, in my opinion, extremely poor form—particularly in a hotel that presents itself as upscale. Based on our experience so far, the hotel falls far short of expectations. I do not intend to return. Maria Ferreira

I had a great experience at this hotel. Service was excellent, from check-in to check-out. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The location is very convenient. The complimentary water (sparkling and flat) is a nice touch. Parking is convenient. The airport bus stops in front. It is a short walk to Old Town. Public transit is free. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel

Lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff. We were able to check in early and got a room upgrade to a room with a view (no extra cost). Easy access to Grund and old town. Huge comfy bed and great shower. Quiet room and blackout curtains. Free soft drinks in mini bar and a coffee machine in the room.
