I had an accident just before I arrived and seriously hurt my ankle. There was some confusion over a wheelchair when we arrived but as soon as I got the contaxt details from Sam he sorted this out and I had it for the rest of my stay. Sam arranged for a lovely doctor and nurse to come to my room. I was examined and prescribed medication and advice. I am so grateful as I can't walk for long to the doctors outside the hotel. Sam also made recommendation for a show appropriate for my child and my accessibility with the wheelchair. Sam went above and beyond. I am sorry I didn't get to see him before I left to thank him personally. He made the stay a truly great experience. I would have been confined to the hotel room otherwise. All the other staff are lovely and smiley. I would recommend for any families!

Stayed 2 weeks in Mercure Sanur. Pleasant stay. Very friendly and clean hotel, very quiet location at the end of Sanur, along a wide beach. Big complex with beautiful garden and nice bungalows in Balinese style. Room is old style, but has all the comfort you need. Very big bed, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, enough bottled water (4 bottless a day), föhn, good shower, douchegel, shampoo, conditioner, bodymilk, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap, wimps, ear sticks, shower caps..., everything daily refilled. Tasty buffet breakfast with a lot of choices, western and oriental. Nice restaurant. Beautiful Balinese seafoodbuffet with traditional dances and fire dance. Big umbrellas, useful in the rainy season. Free beachtowels for swimmingpools (2) and beach, enough beach loungers, pleasant bar. Many tasty restaurants not far from the hotel, supermarket at walking distance. Nice promenade along the coast, a 4 to 5 km one way. Taxi's close to the hotel. Very good price/quality.

The room and bedding is very good, a little dated but very clean and the location and setting of the hotel and resort makes up for it. The WiFi and TV are temperamental at best so an eSIM is a must if you are visiting this hotel. In addition, the staff did not seem to understand that the internet was not working and also moved a bed into the room opposite us at 0300 causing us to be woken up. We were not compensated for this. The room service is very good, however the food in the restaurant is significantly lacking, with wild birds and lots of flys able to access the buffet style food. Overall, good value for money but we would not pay for a room with food if visiting again.
