🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review for Mercure Resort Sanur After 30 years away from Sanur, having preferred Seminyak, I decided to stay at the Mercure Resort—and I’m so glad I did! This will now be my go-to in Sanur. The hotel’s large, traditional Balinese-style rooms with spacious balconies offer privacy and stunning views of the lush tropical gardens. Its beachfront location is perfect, and the warm, accommodating staff make you feel right at home. What stood out the most was the generous space between the bungalows—a rarity in most hotels. Breakfast was consistently great, with plenty of delicious options. If you’re looking for a welcoming and serene place to stay in Sanur, I couldn’t recommend the Mercure Resort enough! 🌴✨ — Jenny Fink

A quiet haven

Such a blissful 6 night stay in a quiet, traditional style Bali low set resort on the beach surrounded by beautiful gardens with an adult clientele. I loved being situated at the southern end of the beach, the 4km beachfront walk is fabulous and I did this each morning seeking out a new local cafe to have a great barista made coffee and breakfast. Then walking back along the shaded streets with very few cars. My preference from the two pools on the property was the one away from the beach front. Whilst the sea breeze was lovely there, the bar music was rather loud and there are fewer loungers on offer. The other one is well shaded wth sunny areas too if that’s your thing. There was a bar here also ( no music) which I ordered drinks and lunch from. Despite reviews stating the food at the hotel was poor, I ate some lunches and dinners at the restaurant from the a la carte menu with no issues. As an Accor member I received an upgrade to the Executive room which was basic but spacious and a fruit plate in the room. I didn’t have hot water but it didn’t bother me as the weather was so hot and humid anyway. The aircon worked very well. Wifi was great, free bottles of water replenished daily. The hotel does need to replace the towels as they were scratchy and stained, but not a deal breaker. Services such as airport pickup, money changer and spa were all utilised with success and reasonable in cost. This might become a yearly ritual, after a hectic year I feel refreshed to tackle the weeks leading up to Christmas. As a solo female traveller I felt comfortable and safe and left alone to enjoy the peace. If you stay at this property with your expectations in tact (it’s not luxurious five star) then you will have a wonderful stay. Walking past the large luxurious five star hotels on the beach did not entice me- they were full of people at the pool and loud. I’ve recommended to others and look forward to returning.

This hotel is fine, it’s not the cleanest. Very dated and old rooms. The food is below average! The breakfast was awful, no options at all! The pool isn’t very clean and neither are the beds. The staff are friendly and nice. It’s fine for a couple of night stay but wouldn’t spend my whole holiday here.

The road to the hotel is easy to find, breakfast at the restaurant is delicious and the place is very fresh because it is on the beach, all the staff are friendly, even the room service is very good and thorough.In cleaning the room so that its cleanliness is not disturbed. Return visit to this lovely relaxing hotel right on the beach. It's got two good pools and lots of long chairs on the beach.. The rooms in seperate small units dotted around the well maintained wooded grounds. Only snag no lifts but our ground floor room was spacious and comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant but the bar near the beach is good. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good level of security.
