Good location

Hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of all the Christmas markets. This was our second time staying here, we also stayed here in December 2023. Our room was a nice enough size. The TV doesn’t have any English channels and although it shows it’s a smart TV, it wouldn’t allow us to connect to it. We were walking around 10 miles a day, so it would have been nice if we could relax in bed with some English channels. We came back to our room one day to find our bedroom window wide open. I wasn’t sure why house keeping opened it and left it open. On one of the mornings, we felt warm so opened the window ourselves. We could smell smoke from a cigarette, which was strange as we were on the 5th floor and I couldn’t see anyone outside on ground level. When we left to go out, we saw the house keeping trolley and there was a packet of cigarettes on it. We assumed the guy cleaning the rooms must smoke in them and that’s why our window was left open and that was why we could smell it. It must have been coming from the room next to us that he was cleaning. We didn’t find all of the staff very friendly. The day before we were leaving, I asked if we could have a late checkout as our flight wasn’t until the evening. A very rude girl on reception said they were fully booked. She didn’t actually have a look to see if they were and she barely looked up from what she was doing. I checked on the hotel website and saw they had rooms available to book for the following day, so I went back to reception to ask why we had been lied to. I spoke to a more polite young lady who told me they have to save some rooms in case someone with no arms needs it. I have no idea what this was about and I gave up trying. The staff of the hotel let it down.

Perfect hotel to explore Cologne

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Room was all we needed with a nice view of the Cathedral. It was ideally located to explore the city. Staff were friendly and mostly, helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Lab 12 nice for a drink in the evening - best to reserve a seat. Only let down was a really long wait to check in but wasn’t a major issue.

Absolutely amazing. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff are lovely and the breakfast buffet is the best I have ever been to. The location is great to walking to the Cologne Church and the city center. On site parking is great. Definitely stay there again.

Rooms need some work

We recently stayed (again) for 1 night at the Pullman hotel in Cologne. The hotel is well located and it looks quite good from the outside. There was a young lady at the reception who was not very friendly. She said we would get an upgrade, but the room was actually the same as the room provided, just on a higher floor with a view of the Cathedral. Anyway, the room. I dropped something on the floor and while I was looking I noticed that the carpet wasn't very clean. The bathroom was quite clean, but the seams of the shower were moldy, something for which there are quite good cleaning products. When checking out I just wanted to hand over the door cards, after all we had paid, so just handing over tickets seemed sufficient to me. The lady from the previous day snapped that she couldn't work like this and I had to wait. So I wait, and when she is done with the man in front of me I want to give her the cards, then she says in a rude way "checking out is with my colleague"... I put the cards down, told her she was rude and left.

Good Stay

Good stay, room a bit smaller than expected. Breakfast very good. Location is on edge of town centre, with what seems to be main shopping street round the corner so convenient for that. Also there are restaurants in the area (hotel one and the other opposite are pricey) The bed is a bit small with small duvet that doesn't cover body as I like so it needed to be awkwardly supplemented with the bathrobe.
