Clean and comfortable hotel with friendly service. Just a note for future guests: the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the train station. In summer the walk is fine, but in winter—especially if it’s raining—it’s not ideal. I ended up taking Uber, which cost between €7 and €16 per ride. Breakfast was very good, and the pizza and beer in the evening were also a nice option. I really appreciated the kindness of both the receptionist and the manager. My only disappointment, and the reason I’m not giving 5 stars, is that I had booked 5 nights but stayed only 3, and no refund was available. However, the manager was kind enough to offer me breakfast, which I truly appreciated. Overall, a pleasant stay.

A very pleasant and comfortable stay with helpful staff. A special mention to Mobina. She was very professional and friendly. She helped every night to order our takeaway meals as we struggled to translate the German menus. She ordered our food and made phone calls for us whenever we needed. She is a great asset to the hotel staff. Will be back next year

Clean budget hotel near the Cologne Messe convention center

This is an efficient, new, clean budget-priced hotel near the Cologne Messe convention center. Rooms are small but new and well maintained, in room goodies are minimal (no coffee maker), as you'd expect at this price point. The staff were very nice and helpful, and there are benefits if you join the free Accor Hotels frequent travelers group when you check in at the front desk. The hotel breakfast is basic for a German hotel (logical at this price) but much nicer than at comparable American hotels. Safety issue: The bathrooms were pre-manufactured and then installed when the hotel was build, so you have to go up a step when you enter and step down about 4 inches when you leave the bathroom. Local trams link the area to the main areas of Cologne and the front desk folks will hep you find the right local train to use. If you don't want to figure out the trams, it's a 30-45 minute walk from here to the Cologne Cathedral (the DOM), the main train station (hauptbahnhof) and the busy nightlife there. It's 45-60 minutes to the nearby row of restaurants, cafes and bars along the Rhine. If your trip does not involve a convention at the Messe, the only pull to stay here is the low price, clean facility and nice people, since it's a trek to the areas most people prioritize on their visits.

Your typical 3 star business hotel ideally located for access to Köln Messe and easy access to city center via public transport. Room was clean and staff friendly. The bar is enough for a quick drink and light meal if you don’t want to go to the city, which would be a shame! Only small comments is that there was no safe in the room and no electric sockets near the bed to charge the phone.
