Postive: * Good location * Friendly check-in staff Negative * Need to share the room with small ants * Pull-out sofa bed for child had loud squeaking springs and thin uncomfortable mattress * Requested an iron 3 times (none in the room). Still waiting (and we've left Paris haha) * Limited hours to use the pool and rude pool attendants that pay no attention to safety and open/close pool whenever they feel like it (don't book the hotel primarily for the pool as we did) It was our 2nd time we stayed in this hotel. The first time we must have been lucky as we got a decent sized room and good service. No such luck this time - many rooms are very small. Maybe they were just fatigued from the Olympics.

Bad! Shame on Novotel and Accor! Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

All in all - you're better off staying in a 2 or 3 star hotel anywhere else in Paris. Novotel and Accor management should take a close look into this functioning of this hotel and hopefully fix it. Its a shame on the brand - the manner in which it is run. 1. Rude reception staff - indifferent to customers - talking and giggling amongst themselves and rude to customers - including at check-in and check-out. This is the first experience when you're checking into the hotel. It felt like the burdensome part of the customer facing staff is the actual dealing with customers. 2. No concierge - no assistance or help with local experiences, restaurants or even an airport pick-up and drop - no customer help. All you get is the hotel room - you're on your own. 3. The hotel is overcrowded - this shows in the long line for the breakfast buffet - the entry to which is guarded by a bounder. Again, staff is rude. Witnessed the bouncer make a little child cry because she stepped out and wanted to go back to her family - was denied. It wasn't clear what they were guarding because once you're inside its a crowd of people, unclean floors and tables and food vessels are empty. If you must stay here, avoid the breakfast. 4. The rooms are barebone - Just a bed. Not even glasses, cutlery and water bottles - nothing. There are paper glasses to drink water from the bathroom faucet. You have to pay for everything. Quick experience - We asked for a wine bottle opener to enjoy a bottle of wine in the room and were denied. We requested if they can come to the room - open the bottle and take the opener back - NO. We were told to go down to the bar with the wine bottle and have it opened ourselves. Once we do that, we request for wine glasses to enjoy the wine in our room - again NO. We were provided with paper cups - imagine carrying an open wine bottle of beautiful red wine from Pomerol and sipping on it in a paper cup - in a hotel right next to the Eiffel Tower - Pathetic - How is this not illegal in France? and by Accor? - Shame! The staff at the bar was very courteous but was limited by the "Hotel Rules!" Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

Nice Stay - Nice Rooms

We had a very nice stay here - nice rooms with views of the river and Eiffel Tower. Check in etc was very nice, front desk staff was super helpful. Only blip was that, they would charge for getting the luggage from ground floor to the rooms. However that was a minor blip, overall we had a nice stay there!

Low budget hotel masked as a 4 star.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights. On arrival the reception area looked very nice and obviously had a refurb a few years ago. The rest of the hotel from where the hotel rooms started was very dated. The building was a purply red on the outside with cabin type windows that looked very 70s. The windows don't open. The rooms are tiny. My friend and i got a twin room. The beds were tiny and creaky, and uneven and I kept rolling to the right side due to the uneveness. The duvets were a winter tog making it boiling to sleep under. The room had no fresh air. The air con was ok. The toilet was in a separate room to the bathroom. There was no sink in the toilet room which meant we had to go into the bathroom to wash our hands. The shower pressure was so bad. The water was a trickle which meant i never felt my hair was getting properly rinsed off. The tiles weren't the cleanest. On 3 occasions, people just walked into our room with their cards opening the door. I had to get the door cards reset twice. Unbelievable. We were given a breakfast voucher. They told use to use it every morning. On the 3rd morning the manager approached us as we were lining up to go into the breakfast room, and told us that we were not meant to have the vouchers and that it was not included in our package. He questioned us in front of everyone and made us feel like we were criminals. His staff gave us the vouchers yet he said we shouldn't have had them. This was something he should have taken up with his staff, not us. The tv had no english speaking channels except for the one news channel. The hospitality tray was extremely lacking. There were no actual cups but small paper cups. There were tea bags and coffee sachets. However there was no milk. When questioned at reception, we were told that milk was not provided as they had none. Very odd. Does everyone like tea and coffee without milk. They tray was never topped up. When it was gone it was gone. There was nowhere to put our suitcase. Storage space was lacking. There was a small hanging rail with 5 hangers. That was it. No shelves or a dresser to put our make up/toiletries etc. The room was tiny and cramped. Not ideal. This does not feel like a 4 star hotel. More like a budget hotel. Avoid if u have a choice.

First visit to Paris, from this experience would definitely go again

The stay was for my wife and I celebrating an anniversary. Very welcoming and accommodating at reception (were very happy to converse in English, which was great as my French stems from 0-level many moons ago). We opted for room and breakfast for a 3-day stay: Room was very nice and clean with queen-size bed, bathroom (shower, bath & sink - toilet was seaparate), television, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities. We had an issue with the coffee machine not working and within 5 mins of mentioning it the issue was sorted with a new machine. Housekeeping every day unless you hang a sign, supplied, on the door handle. Breakfast - so much choice: pastries, cereals, toast, full-english, tea/coffee and juices/fruit teas. Situated alongside the River Seine the hotel is close to The Eiffel Tower and walking distance to a vast range of shops and restaurants (should you not wish to use the restaurant at the hotel). Sites such as Musee d'Orcy, The Louvre, Arc de Triumphe and Notre Dame (the later is still closed at time of review) are all within 1.5hrs walk from the hotel, although the hotel can arrange a taxi/Uber for these longer trips (we used Uber and worked out to between 15-30 euro per trip) All together the Novatel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel was the perfect 'base' for our 3-day excursion, and first visit to Paris.
