Nice and cozy place

Really nice and cozy hotel. Room was perfect and very clean. Employees are nice, specially Bruna and Mariana at the front desk. The hotel has got a place to park the car for free outside, or paid inside. Nice and warm meals at a very nice bar located inside the hotel. Sintra is a very beautiful city, that you should pay a visit. My opinion, only missing a swimming pool, that would be a great addon.

Decent place to stay if you have a car. Several miles from Sintra historic center area, but we left early enough to get a free spot in a neighborhood a few blocks from the National Palace, so that helps. Room was typical BASIC Ibis. Not enough pillows (just ONE per person); towels (again, only ONE total, per person, or trash cans (again, ONE TINY one). No fridge!! No coffee maker. NO ICE machine available for public use in the entire hotel! Very tricky parking spaces. They have about 15-20, which are free, on surface lot, but need to pay if park in structure below...only 3 euros, but they should just make it free. The bar/restaurant area was decent and convenient; fair prices for quick dinner. Breakfast 8.50 euros, but very limited continental breakfast only; not hot items... We chose to eat elsewhere and was less expensive. Not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. There is a very convenient Lidl and Auchan (large grocery/gen merch store) to stock up on supplies before heading out. Internet wasn't working our first night, but was ok the next night. In summary, inexpensive, basic, clean room for the night, but definitely no friils. Would recommend staying here, as long as aware of basic/limited amenities

Great hotel. Ideal for short trips. Rooms basic, clean. Everything u need for short stay. Bathroom spotless. Large beds. Car parking available. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is very good and reasonable for €7 There is a nearby supermarket auchan 5 mins walk away

Staff rude and extremely impatient

We asked for a soup, breads and water at the Ibis Kitchen. As they have a limited menu and we are vegetarians, I ordered by Uber Eats a vegetarian food for us. When I got it and sat again with my boyfriend. The frontdesk was at our table and said we couldn't eat anything ordered outside the hotel. It was cold 13C and they just had an external area without proper roof and not heated. I said we couldn't eat outside freezing and he said it was not his business. Then we asked where was the rules about not eating food ordered outside and he said that's not written but it doesn't matter because there is anything allowing us to eat inside. We fell awful! I've been in many hotels of the Accor chain but that was our first terrible approach like that. Extremely intolerant because despite we did not agree him, we didn't refuse to obey "the rules". He suddenly showed up again while I was checking online about our rights as a costumer and he said he had called the hotel director whom assured the hotel rule to not allow us to eat inside Ibis Kitchen. The first point we're not deaf or people with a cognitive impairment , we did got the message at the first time, what we told him to leave us alone because we're not eating anything. I was just with the package on the table. I'm a Platinum Loyalty Client Program and I can't describe what disappointed treatment at this hotel. Diogo is a rude, impolite, impatient and unprofessional frontdesk. Surely we never come back to Ibis Lisboa Sintra hotel. We've registered our bad experience but we know that's probably a wasting of time book... It's not about the hotel rules it's about how you treat and approach your guests. It's about the professional way you can handle situations and not arguing costumer with harsh answers. We ended up having cold dinner at the hotel room because we're a couple and the room had only one chair. So as we appreciate some dignity when having dinner, we waited an extra chair. We consider eating food on the bedroom not our trip priority.

Pros: clean, comfortable rooms. Cons: no tea/coffee in room, basic breakfast (virtually no hot food - not even bacon!), Restaurant only really serves pizza - ok, but not exceptional, location not really near anything useful. Billed as Sintra - but actually a short drive away; we were advised to park at Sintra railway station and walk from there. Driving to Sintra itself is *not* a good idea. Most disappointing aspect was lack of evening options - the hotel is essentially on an industrial estate, so there are very few restaurants or bars in walking distance that are open in the evening (though there is a 24-hour McDonald's nearby, if that helps).
