Novotel München City worked well for our group stay and offered some excellent amenities. I was part of a group of 20, and the hotel handled us smoothly. The breakfast was a highlight: tons of choices and omelets made to order, which were especially good. The breakfast area has a mix of table types, which makes it easy to find a comfortable spot. One cultural note for travelers from the U.S.: if you do not hang the Do Not Disturb sign, staff may enter the room for cleaning or coffee and tea service. This may be standard locally, but it caught me off guard, so I recommend using the sign if you want privacy. Accessibility & Room Setup: There is a lift. The bathroom includes both a tub and a separate shower, with the toilet and sink in a different room. There are no grab bars, which may be a concern for some travelers. Wellness: The cold plunge pool and sauna were wonderful after long days of walking around Munich. Overall, a comfortable, well-run hotel that works especially well for large groups, with standout breakfast and solid amenities.

Lovely hotel located a short walk from centre, staff were excellent and breakfast a huge selection of everything you could think of. Would highly recommend for a stay in Munich, close to all the Christmas markets which was the main reason for our visit.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived late and found the reception person to be very helpful friendly and welcoming. We booked two rooms one in the new build and a twin in the other part of the hotel. The new build room was very comfortable with all the usual amenities. The only downside was virtually no storage for clothes. The twin room was adequate but the shower was poor. The Breakfast was lively with plenty of choice. We ate once I the evening and found the food OK and expensive for what it was. The hotel was very convenient for the city and the Christmas markets. My main complaint which is why I didn’t leave 5 stars was the price of the underground parking !!!! 22€ a day !!!! really !!!! A nominal fee of 5€ would have been enough

We stayed six gorgeous nights at Novotel Munich City and can't recommend it enough. The location is great, about 5mins from the S-Bahn which has a straight commute to the airport. The excellent Sudentendeutsches Musuem is just across a small road, and the fabulous Deutsches Museum of science and technology is a salubrous 10min walk away. The hotel faces a very pretty area with trees and Isar river running busily by. There are also a supermarket and eateries nearby, and a petrol kiosk with a convenience store nearby. The room was great! There was an open closet with hangers. The bathroom as a hanging hook and towel rack. There were three of us in winter with coats to hang. So convenient having enough places to hang up our stuff. There was more than sufficient space for us to open up two large suitcases and two smaller suitcases (those that we carry on for flights). The room was so comfortable. The pillows were kind of small and flattish so I inserted towels to elevate mine. But my family members were fine with the pillows. Breakfast was a large enough spread with some variation from day to day. Everything was delicious. There are hot drinks making machines throughout the dining hall which spreads out the crowd of people seeking their morning fuel. We hardly needed to speak with any staff but whenever we did, they were all nice and friendly. The staff at the reception counter that handled our check-in then check-out where very friendly. This hotel left us a great impression of Munich and its people! We certainly made the right decision to stay here at Novotel Munich City!

BIG ISSUE!! NO ENGLISH TV. CANT CAST EITHER. WHY NOVOTEL? ???

Xmas trip to Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle and Nuremberg. We stayed as a family booking 2 rooms. One standard room for a single person and a family room. Firstly I will say that Novotel has become our go-to hotel choice for short European trips and we have always had great stays, with hotels meeting or exceeding our expectations. On this occasion at the Munich City Centre site we were a little disappointed. First I will compliment all the good things. The service, the staff the breakfast the general standards, our family room were all as expected and made for a lovely stay over this Xmas period. However the bad bits and these are worth noting especially for English language travelers were. Firstly the standard double room for a single traveler was looking tired and dated. It lacked all the modern design qualities you expect from Novotel and left one of our family members feeling very disappointed after seeing our family room in comparison. Secondly and this is the BIG ISSUE. The TVs have no access to English language television . So you have two huge TVs in the family room that are useless. No access to netflix , YouTube or the internet at all. For some reason the ability to cast or mirror your phone or tablet has also been removed. So after long days touring and just wanting to sit and watch a Xmas movie with kids before bed we had nothing. Which is impossible to believe in 2025! Huge blunder by Novotel that had made me question if I would stay with the kids again at a Novotel . Really a huge shame. Big blunder by Novotel. Has left a bit of a bad mark ‼️ if you have young kids and you just need them to switch off and watch a bit of TV , then don't pick this hotel if you don't speak German. Sorry Novotel.
