I really wanted to give this a 2 star but that would not have been fair. The good. Staff are friendly. Pool area is smart clean and tidy. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is expensive but the kids are free which made it okay and it was a fairly decent selection and quality to be honest. The bad. Service. Told room would be ready. Wasn’t. Then it was late but still not done. Then we agreed to let them do it whilst we were out for 3 hours and when we got back tired and ready for bed it STILL wasn’t done. We had to wait 20 minutes whilst they faffed about. The room was boiling with no way to turn heat down and a useless. Fan. The window opened slightly but let in a constant stink of cooking oil that made us all feel sick. Avoid room 246. The heat and room stink ruined it for us but it’s not a bad hotel!

Perfect hotel to enjoy a night out in Edinburgh. It’s very central, walking distance from town. Very modern and clean. Staff very friendly and attentive. Sonia at reception was very welcoming, always with a smile and Alejandro best cocktail maker. We will be back!

Great people, nice and cozy place, close to key areas and restaurants. In particular, Liam, the maintenance guy, and Magda, at breakfast. Liam fixed one of my shoe “on the spot” as it was broken , so I can continue my meetings. Magda was very kind and helpful, also in busy breakfast time. Giada and Valentina at the reception: customers minded and very kind. Really a great experience overall…

We had a really lovely stay in this hotel. It's modern and comfortable. The room was compact but perfect for a family of 3. The breakfast was excellent with options to suit everyone, kids can make their own waffles which was a treat. The hotel throughout was spotless and in a great location. Everything was about a 20 minute walk and easy to reach. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Really warm comfortable rooms, the food is delicious and the breakfast was fantastic, the kids especially loved the make your own waffles, the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. The house keeping entered our room 3 times without knocking or calling out which I felt was rude and unnecessary. The location is perfect for the city, you can walk to most places but not very expensive for an uber if needed. The pool was a little small and I did feel the fact people using the toilet could look in at the pool was a bit uncomfortable. Overall a nice hotel
