Good location, fairly peaceful compared with being more in noisy centre, staff friendly and helpful, rooms excellent, excellent buffet breakfast we couldn’t fault hotel apart from swimming pool which had what appeared to be an oil slick film, a guest said it was due to people bathing with oily body lotions, people should take hot shower before entering it’s not a bath, sadly we together with the other guest we spoke to never used the pool Please put sign up saying hotel shower before entering pool We would use hotel again but not pool.

Went with a group of people ,various ages, for 2 nights early Jan. This is a super hotel, lovely rooms, great staff and superb location. Everything wonderfully organized, seamless check in, a really nice atmosphere . Outstanding in particular, Annie Lau , who because of her wonderful communication skills, ensured that everyone, all 38 people, had an amazing time . thank you from everyone. Already looking at a return visit.

lovely hotel - very clean and accommodated lots of different groups - friends, couples, families and business trips. Food was fantastic - breakfast was lovely with a waffle machine option! swimming pool and gym facilities although never used - looked quite small. Bar was lovely and welcoming. Room had everything you needed. Good price and 10 min (walk up steps to castle). managed to get parking too which was added value (although very small car park so don’t rely on hotel car park - ncp close by)! defo recommend hotel

Very good one night stay NYE 2025. Easy check in and spent a couple of hours in the spa - shame about the screaming/splashing kids but then it was holiday time. Room fine with comfortable bed and coffee making facilities. Shower was ok but nowhere to hang wet towels (and I mean nowhere). Had a coffee in the bar which is pleasant. Very good location, 5 mins from Grass Market and Greyfriars Bobby. A short but good visit.
