The staff did their best to take care of our requests before arrival. Easy check-in. Our rooms were grouped together vs spread out hotel. Room is simple but functional. Only complaint, no wash clothes. Convenient to the Technoparke tram station, which is immediately outside of the hotel entrance.

Truly a Budget Hotel

As a very inexpensive option in Zurich, this is a no-frills European hotel. Basic rooms are truly basic with a bed, toilette room and a shower that opens into the room. A small television and a very small writing surface round out the room. There is a single small chair and our room had a bunk bed above the twin bed in the room. On the plus side, the hotel is within two blocks of a train station that goes directly to the airport and there are tram/light rail stops (Technopark - line 4) with covered waiting areas almost at the front door. There is a grocery a very short walk away with local shopping and some nice restaurants about a five to ten minute walk away. The front desk staff was very helpful, even after being harried by the three guest in front of us at check-in. The lobby area has some games available for children and there are some seating areas that could accommodate groups up to about 10. The small convenience area has some basics in case you don't want to go out. The room was very clean with reasonable sized towels. The bed itself was very comfortable, decent blankets provided, and overall very quiet - even the traffic from the main road was very minimal. Goodly amount of hot water in the sink and shower and very convenient lighting controls for the whole room within arms reach of the bed. The one thing that stood out to us was how high the toilet itself was off of the ground. While there was a cheeky explanation on the back of the stall door, one would need to be over 6' to use it comfortably. If you are travelling on a budget, this is an excellent choice.

Loved the hotel and the hotel itself. Staff was very helpful at every request. Good proximity to transportation to city center and the Christmas Markets. Including the main train station. Would have been nice if the hotel had provided specifics about public transport to the train station as it is a long walk. Makeable though. Few restaurants in the area though. Breakfast buffet was very nice and worth the cost in our view.

Amazing Hotel with amazing conditions and employees staff,it’s first time for me in this hotel and for sure come again.Today’s breakfast was really cool with warm energy and very positive waiters especially Frau Mevlude Berisa waiting us really friendly, thanks to her thanks to whole Ibis Buget!

Bad Choice

Ibis the name is enough to stay.... But not this one may be. I checked in a couple of hours ago, but already feel it's a wrong decision made by me. I have stayed at many hotels hostels air bnbs across the world but this is may be by far not the worst but close to it... For Reasons ahead: Shower pipe broken, water enters room if kept straight, soap holder broken( not a big deal) Kitchen not working at night ok, I asked for plate n spoon (chargeable, written can get one for 1 CHF ) but I was asked to check with Novotel to get one... Like Really!! Seems we don't have u can get from there... While checking in I had asked breakfast to be included (to ensure single bill for corporate booking ) .. but that was not done... Later asked me to bill separately .. Room not impressive at all ... No space at all(that's fine for budget) but Washbasin in front of the bed..! My reviews have been largely positive, imagine how irritated I might be to write a negative review. IBIS Budget you can do much better!
