Cancelled our reservation last minute, told us the hotel is now closed to the general public. This has ruined our child’s early Christmas present as we now can’t attend.

Ibis London Wembley was unexpectedly and temporarily closed from 29 July 2025 due to health and safety reasons. As a result, all upcoming bookings had to be cancelled, which was outside of our control. We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially as you had planned your trip well in advance. I would love to have left a review of my stay at hotel - however its been cancelled. Booked in Feb for an event in November. Booking.com making out they are doing me a favour for not charging me a cancellation fee. I can only assume given that there are zero dates now available for the foreseeable that this is now being occupied by our Home Office ..... AVOID IBIS AT ALL COSTS!

Please be assured that the closure was not related to overbooking or alternative use of the property. We regret that the cancellation process through Booking.com may have given the impression otherwise, and we apologise for any confusion. We are currently working to relocate affected guests. Ibis cancelled night’s accommodation at their Wembley hotel which was for the Oasis gig. No explanation. Months after the booking was made and c. 8 weeks before the date we should have stayed. Now there’s no alternative. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Didn’t bother responding to my question via Booking.com why my booking was cancelled either.

Unfortunately, Ibis London Wembley was forced to close unexpectedly on 29 July 2025 due to health and safety reasons. This decision was outside of our control, and we understand how upsetting the timing has been, especially with such a major event taking place nearby. We regret that your booking was cancelled and that you did not receive a timely explanation through Booking.com. Please be assured this was never our intention, and we sincerely apologise for the lack of communication. For all affected guests, we have been working with our partners, including Booking.com, to arrange alternative accommodation or full refunds. If you have not yet received support, we kindly ask you to reach out directly to Booking.com customer service, who will be able to assist further with your reservation. Canceled with no explanation. Total waste of time. Won’t ever risk booking again. Such a shame as we were looking forward to it

Dear Trail, We sincerely apologise for the cancellation of your reservation and fully understand your disappointment, especially as you were looking forward to your stay. The hotel was required to close due to unforeseen Health and Safety issues, which were beyond our control. This decision was made solely to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We regret the inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting affected guests with alternative accommodation within the Accor group wherever possible, as well as processing refunds promptly for pre-paid bookings.
