Excellent Mercure situated right on the golf course, embedded in nature. The hotel is very well managed, with a good restaurant and nice bar and terrace facing the golf course. Don’t expect fancy but the hotel fulfilled al our needs for a relaxing short stay. The privilege room on the first floor was big and in very good shape, with windows opening directly on the course. Only thing: toilet was in the bathroom, not separate. Excellent heated indoor swimming pool, bubble bad, sauna etc.. without additional cost. Electric charging points on site. Just for golfers: the course is a beauty !

Hotel wonderful restaurant not

The hotel and facilities are lovely but it’s let down by the restaurant Our room was excellent, comfy bed and spacious. Shower did not maintain temperature and switched from scorching hot to flashes of cold randomly Spa and gym definitely worth a visit This was our second time staying here and both times the food at the restaurant was not good Our starters were good but mains disappointing The steak and the corden bleu taste precooked, tough and flavourless The fish was good though Desserts very average Breakfast excellent

Smelly, old hotel. That is the only way to describe this place. Never stay at Mercure hotels and now we know why. 1 ngt stop over on route to Austria was more than enough. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke, it hit u as soon as u walked in, the lift wasn’t much better.. Very old fashioned, it looks like it hasn’t had a makeover since 1990. Come on Luxembourg, you can do better than this.

We are surprised by the smell of cigarettes, perhaps due to people at the entrance of the hotel when opening a door. I have to be honest - I have been visiting this hotel for over 15 years. Each time I come, I am made to feel welcome beyond what you normally find in a hotel. This time was no exception a great welcome on arrival and the hotel had my preferred room location available, it was so good to enter and the temperature was set to cool. I had been riding all day and was in need of getting the leathers off and into a warm shower before heading down to the Eagle Bar for some beer and something to eat. Sitting out on the terrace watching the golfers go by is really relaxing and the staff are always very attentive. My night sleep was comfortable and refreshing and the breakfast that followed was of vast choice and very well organised. I was topped up and ready for a ride up the Moselle. A full day out through wonderful scenery and fantastic roads both in Luxembourg and Germany was eventually brought to a conclusion and back to the hotel where my room had been perfectly cleaned and returned to how one would expect. The rooms staff always seem to be so polite when you speak to them and happy to engage, this is not what you find in every hotel! My second evening on the Eagle Bar terrace was very relaxing and Pavel was the man serving. He was really great, always looking out for his guests and ready for the next order - I appreciate his not over zealous attention. I feel bad pointing one person out from the whole team as they all work so hard to make our stay in their hotel perfect. The breakfast the next day was just great and I managed to finish before a light shower of rain, pack up my cases and head back to the port for me ferry home, whilst all the time thinking of how I enjoyed my stay once again at Kikuoka.
