Sebuah pengalaman yang luar biasa, menginap di ibis Wien Messe. Walaupun mungkin orang cukup tertipu dengan namanya 'Messe', posisi hotel ini masih cukup di dalam kota. 25 menit terhubung dengan U1 langsung dari Südtrioler Platz (Hauptbahnhof) dan 15 menit ke Stephansdom. Pelayanan staf hotel sangat luar biasa. Ramah, hangat, membantu dan sangat menyenangkan. Perlu diingat bahwa staf yang ramah, hangat dan membantu sangat jarang ditemui di eropa. Sayangnya kamar hotel yang ada sudah cukup tua, walaupun memang tetap sangat bersih. Bagi beberapa orang yang kurang nyaman dengan kamar-kamar tua, mungkin ini bukan penginapan yang tepat. Untuk kelas ibis dari Accor Group sekalipun, sudah terdapat hotel-hotel ibis yang jauh lebih modern, di Perancis atau Jerman misalnya. Namun secara umum, berkat staf yang luar biasa, menginap di ibis Wien Messe tetap sabgat menyenangkan dan akan mdnginap kembali di sana.

If you looked at my profile you’d see how unlikely I am to leave a bad review. This hotel we picked it coz of the competitive price and obviously we did not come with high expectations. However, it seemed as if no one wants to work there. Check in was awful as I attempted to practice some German and the receptionist was nothing but sassy and so not smiley. You often see them sitting in the back office and they don’t have any reflex to stand up coming at you. Check out was (not) handled by another girl who stayed sitting with her glittered AirPods on (?!). You guys cold coz of the temperature or were you raised this way? The only exception was a blond lady who actually had a good smile! Also the metro isn’t far so that was practical. Otherwise it can easily be downgraded to 1 star. Good for a short stay.

It's an ok hotel. Not top notch, but surely a place you can stay at for a few nights. Easy connection to Vienna centre, by foot or public transport. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are fairly clean, some maintenance and inspection should be done though. The bed is very good and made me want to stay on it for longer. There is a ground floor terrace where you can have a drink and listen to and see the business of the streets. Room was adequate for me.

Bad sleep

I stayed in 4 hotels in 4 days and this was by far the worst sleep I had. In the bathroom, hidden behind a panel, were huge ventilation pipes which made a loud noise constantly (not the air con for my room or extractor fan for the bathroom, they seemed to be circulating air to elsewhere in the hotel). I found it almost impossible to sleep with the noise. I also find it ridiculous in 2024 when hotels still don’t have plug sockets near the bed to charge phones. The hotel is a short walk from Prater amusement park and its iconic ferris wheel, which was visible from my window. It’s also close to the Vorgartenstraße u-bahn station for easy access to other parts of the city. Next door is the Ibis Budget Hotel which I made the mistake of trying to check-in at!
