I wish I had better things to say but close location to Qudos arena is the only thing going for the Novotel Olympic park. When checking in at 5pm I was told our sofa bed was currently being made up as requested and could we wait 15 minutes, okay, sure. Without boring you with a long winded story, I believe we were given the wrong room as our key didn't work and after 3 separate trips to reception on which I waited a minimum of 10 minutes for someone's attention each time and 3 phone calls our sofa bed never got made up and I had to raid a cleaning cart left on our floor for sheets and a blanket and we did it ourselves. Not good enough for a $450 stay and it was obvious no one cared. Unfortunately I think the convenience of this hotel will mean they will always have guests but if people can have a bit of warning I think I'd choose elsewhere.

Stayed here for one night to attend red hot chilli peppers concert. Managed to book the last room in the place at 500 per night. (Yes I know I should have booked earlier) on arrival we checked in and were given room keys/pass. Went upstairs walked into the room only to find other quests already in there. Couldn’t have been more embarrassed for them and us. Went down reported the issue which staff rectified and then offered us two drink vouchers for the embarrassment.. drink vouchers totalled about 23 bucks. Surely free car parking or free breakfast would have been a more appropriate apology from the hotel… Once that was out of the way sat down in the bar for our free drink and a few more prior to the concert. The poor staff were quickly overwhelmed with the volume of patrons. I’ll be clear here that is not that staffs vault they managed as best they could… the hotel management should know they are fully booked and there were two major events happening in the precinct and rostered on more staff to cope with the extra demand

No TV remote then no answer from reception. There was also no bathroom consumables. Considering the price of the room you would expect these small things to be taken care of. Was sent a survey and an option for direct contact to address the issues and never received a reply. Poor customer service.

Amazing staff duty manger leta and ms Paris and ms raya they was helpful with me and they did thir best to help The location of the hotel is the best between other hotels The pool exist room is the best room that I have been to it The food is delicious in the restaurant

From the booking online to the checkout everything was incredibly smooth. We booked a short stay as my wife had to appear an online Exam via zoom so wanted the peace and quiet. Check in was fast and smooth, the hotel was busy as they were hosting the womens basketball world cup, however we were in our room in a matter of minutes. The view was quite spectacular and the bed was super comfortable. We asked for an ethernet cable to ensure there was no internet drop outs and this was delivered within 30 minutes to our room, even though to be honest the wi-fi internet speeds were outstanding. The bathrooms are a bit tiny and dated and missing the luxury feel you would expect of a Novotel, however everything was clean and functional. The room was missing bath robes and slippers (this would have been a nice touch). The bed and work stations were extremely comfortable and we all slept like babies. The surrounding area is great, plenty of food options, bars and access to public transport. The only thing that could be better is the restaurant inside the Novotel has a very restricted menu (bar menu only) which was a bit of shame, however the food served was great and moderately priced. Buffet Breakfast was adequate but missing an egg station. The best part of our stay was Amir. We were walking out in the morning for a Maccas run next door, when Amir said hi to our 2.5 yr old daughter Amelia, he was very friendly with her and asked her name, he then went inside and got her a little goodie bag with her name written on it! How nice of him, this was the icing on the cake for our short trip to the Novotel and wanted to thank him again for the gesture :)
