Poor shabby hotel, unsafe area

Receptionist was friendly and very helpful. Hotel is very basic and not like pictures on website- garden and outside areas need a lot of work. Room was clean, but worn, pillows poor. Shower was awful and like other comments not great for everyone to watch you showering through the glass door. Area around the hotel is grim, what looks like a hotel for immigrants next door, homeless people camping by the fence. Generally did not feel safe area, would definitely not visit again.

First of all, we want to reassure you about the security of our establishment: our team is on duty 24/7, the gate is locked at night, and the hotel is equipped with a video surveillance system. The safety and well-being of our guests are our top priority. In fact, we haven't recorded any incidents of violence or assault in the Tours Nord area since the hotel opened, which is 15 years ago! Regarding the person you saw outside, she is a homeless woman whom we have been helping and supporting for several months, unfortunately without success. She has always shown respect, and it's important to remember that we are not responsible for guests or the management of neighboring establishments. Regarding the online photos: the one showing a castle simply illustrates a tourist attraction in the region. It's clear that an Ibis Budget hotel does not have the architecture of a castle, and the other photos on official platforms clearly show our rooms, our bathroom (which complies with Ibis Budget standards), and our outdoor spaces. Our garden is carefully maintained by our technician. Some areas are deliberately left more "wild" to promote biodiversity, an ecological approach that is important to us. We regret that your stay was not entirely satisfactory, but we hope this information will help you better understand our environment and our commitment to our guests and the planet. This hotel has very poor customer service and charges you wzy in advance of your stay. My experience was the worst I ever had with a hotel in all my years travelling to France and Spain. Within 5 minutes of booking the room I realised that I had selected the wrong date it should have been the next night. I immediately went to change the date and the hotel refused to change even though there was availability and would not refund the cost. I even offered to pay and extra charge for changing but no go. If I wanted the next night I had to pay in full again. My advice to anyone booking is make sure your dates are correct because they will not accommodate and charge you immediately.

A great place to stay

An excellent and felt like a new modern hotel on the outskirts of Tours. A great welcome from the receptionist and as its new had a lift. There was a microwave for guest use which was very handy. We recommend and will for certain use again when driving through France.

Great budget accommodation on the outskirts of Tours

7 middle/older age bikers stayed in 4 twin rooms for 3 nights when touring the area. Hotel was very reasonably priced and I think this is due to its out of town location. All staff were really friendly. Parking is free. At 10pm the gates are locked (obviously you can get in/out) so bikes /cars are secure. The hotel supplied continental type breakfast for a cheap price. Quality was good. Rooms were immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable. There is a local tax payable on arrival which was below 4 euros per person. Recommended budget accommodation

It’s a budget hotel. Clean, spacious enough, clean bathroom facilities. Free parking but no restaurant. You can walk 100m to the Mercure next door for a great French restaurant experience. Breakfast is sufficient and popular. Some nights a food truck parks up front.
