no better than a campsite

We booked Greet hotel because we were camping and needed a night in a bed, air-con and a bathroom. This night was no better than a campsite. Firstly, the toilet flush did not work we had to use a pen to push down on the flush. This was immediately reported and no solution (but the pen) or offer was made to compensate. The sink would flood after a few seconds, and the shower curtain was so long it had a bad smell and felt unhygienic. Oh and a huge spider was on the curtain. So - no better than a campsite, we regretted our stay here and should have saved our money.

Location - thus hotel is in the middle if an industrial estate. Do not stay unless you have a car. The nearest bus stop is 15 minutes walk and it is uphill towards the hotel and extremely dark after sunset. Cleanliness: The bathroom is tiny, smells of dampness and there is numerous patches if black mould on the tiles as well as yellow grout. There was a cobweb above the door and dust throughout the hotel. Service: I had a terrible distressing experience at check in. Asked to pay when I had already paid. The young woman was rude to be, was rolling her eyes and didn't believe I had paid even after I showed her proof of payment. The worst service I have ever received. My daughter intervened and got the manager due to the chaos. We didn't not even gey offered a complimentary breakfast only a free cup of coffee or 2. Good: comfortable bed. Nice outside terrace.

Deceptive photos on website, poor repair and not clean enough.

The reception area looks modern as it appears in the photos. The rest of the accommodation is shabby, particularly the rooms (two for our family of 5 so likely to be typical). The bathroom in particular was in poor repair, and dirty in less visible places such as behind the (broken) shower gel dispenser. One room had a detached toilet seat which the cleaner must have known about but simply decided not to bother fixing. The bathroom door, when open, clashes with the door into the room. Partly that’s due to the room being very small but poor design is also a factor. For c.€100 per room per night you can definitely do much better. It’s not even well located.

Very small room (approx 14sq.mt.), very small bed for a couple (queen size, width 140cm) with a medium thickness mattress at bottom and a soft thin one added on top (not making it a better accomodation anyway), no fridge, no wardrobe not even a small locker to hang up clothes but only a shallow space (20cm deep approx) carved in the wall near the bathroom. Smallest bathroom ever experienced in my life (probably 1,5 x 1,5 meters), without bidet sink, main bathroom sink marked by light brow stains and not draining properly, uncomfortable sewer smell coming from pipelines, set of two small and medium towels for each customer (not even a regular shower size one) and notice on the bathroom door encouraging to reuse same towels in favour of environmental friendly policies (kind of teasing probably). The rubber shower's hose lenght is way too short, so when hanging the shower in the upper wall support for hands free utilization, it would choke water flow completely to wall connection level making it impossible to be used this way. Remarkable breakfast in very nice open kitchen environment carring an original decor, very good quality food both pastry and cakes (all home made) and cheese/charcuterie. Nice and friendly staff that anyway on reported problems solving did not deliver.

Terrible room, still waiting for my refund after 40days

We booked a 2 nights stay in this hotel with flexible rate. The room was terrible, dirty, worn, heating not properly working, bathroom was a total joke. I asked whether they have another room but it was full. So we decided to stay only for 1 night after checking that we can be refunded for the second night. I shared my account information with the hotel and we left the next morning. It has been more than 40 days now, still waiting a refund. Hotel is not responding to my e-mails at all. Accor customer service is only directing my case back to hotel, which is no response again. This has been a terrible experience after staying some decent Ibis hotels. Never again guys sorry…
