I wouldn’t let my dog sleep here!!

I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in this place! Non-smoking room stank of stale smoke and cannabis, communal toilet seats covered in urine (no en-suite in this hotel!) Broken glass in the fire exit doors, random stuff hanging from bedroom windows and men in various states of undress and inebriation wandering aimlessly around the hotel. Doors wouldn’t shut or lock properly, keypad entry system to rooms not working so the staff solution, give you a skeleton key which would open any, yes ANY room. We were part of a group of 73 with 36 rooms booked overnight. Most of us stayed all of 10 minutes, booked other hotels online and left!!

The reservation I made on booking.com (which was confirmed) was rejected by the hotel at my arrival. They have totally denied receiving any booking from the platform... they said they have a room that i can take for over 100 euros. The worst experience I have ever had with a hotel

The saying goes you get what you pay for. In this case, you get less. In the first room we were shown the window would not close properly, and as we were on the first floor this is very unsafe. To be fair, we were able to move rooms quickly to the room above. There were no towels provided, and the bathroom and showers were communal (toilets were clean). The other guests staying here were very loud, and despite asking management to ask them to keep it down, they did not. It was difficult to sleep with the racket going on in the corridor and in the rooms surrounding. The noise went on for a few hours into the early hours. I would not stay here again, and would recommend that you pay a few pounds more and try else where. One plus point is the wifi does work and there is free parking.

Terrible experience. - Their booking system did not properly show that our room and other's had been paid for already. Issue was not solved competently not in reasonable time. Other travelers called the police for assistance on that evening (overheard at the hotel) - Very poorly trained/able staff, low French skills, in France. No manager on site to help them. Overheard on the phone "I don't remember how to do that" on letting us in our room. - Disgusting room. Bad smell and overall cleanliness. Ex: Burns in the sink - Noise. You can hear anything happening, from inside your room. Even the staff's chatter and banter in the middle of the night woke people up. Never again.

You will note that I am a veteran and seasoned traveller and always strive to provide accurate reviews to assist others. I was very disappointed and very disgusted with the state of the showers at the hotel; so much so, I took photographs of them and made a formal complaint asking for a full refund, which has been refused by the Accor Group. The shower were absolutely filthy with ingrained dirt and clearly not been cleaned for weeks, if not months and definitely a health hazard. The floor surface was torn and dangerous also, with ingrained dirty and probably full of nasty bacteria. My friends and I arrived at the hotel at around 6pm on Friday 5th July 2013, after a 300 mile ride on our motor cycles and as you could imagine we were all soaked in perspiration and in desperate need of a shower. I tried other showers in the building, but all were occupied and was therefore forced to shower in an undignified way in the filthy, dirty and unhygienic shower, which made me feel physically sick with the thought of what I was actually doing. I can categorically state that I have never come across conditions as bad in my life; believe me I have seen some awfully filthy places in my time. I approached the duty manager Joseff and remonstrated with him about the condition of the shower and actually took him to the shower and pointed out to him the dirt and filth. His response was that it had been locked and should not be in use. I pointed out that there should be a sign on the door with tape across, clearly indicating that it should not be used and he agreed; however he did nothing to secure it from public use; indeed I tried to lock the door from the outside, but clearly you need a special key. I checked the shower later that evening and it was still in use. Indeed I took a photograph of the door lock showing it in the unclocked/vacant position. I have stayed in your Formula 1 Hotels previously and found them to be extremely clean, but this place is the pits. Accor Group of Hotels should be ashamed of themselves, as any respectable hotel group would offer a full refund and some form of compensation, not a mere apology and a token 10% off my next stay (to be taken within 6 months!). I will never stay at a Formula1 Hotel again in my life!!!! Give this place a wide berth go to nearby hotels, but this one!
