Have stayed here many times and again came through even in these uncertain times. Brilliant location with buses at thefront door or a short walk via the subway underpass to Central station and Chalmers street for the trams to Randwick or the Quay Thr staff are masked up and doing the right thing as we were. The Platform 818 meal with truffle was brilliant You can expect breakfast in a box in your room but there is no way around the magnificent buffet generally provided given these times. We had a beautiful room provided and we will be back.

We have stayed at the Mercure on several occasions and it is always good but this stay was beyond great. The staff went over and above to make our stay special in these unusual times. Everyone from the reception to the bar were extremely professional with their safe practices. Lovely room, great location. We will be back.

Clean and tidy and very central. Love the fact there is no bath to step into to have a shower. Enjoying the renovated rooms. Bed and sheets are great. Will be great when there are more options for the meals. Only minus is that the TV faces the bed - I like to watch sitting up, not from bed.

My wife & I stayed for 2 nights for a business trip. Whenever in Sydney for business I tend to stay at the Mercure Sydney as it is in an excellent location being close to the airport or has secure parking if I elect to drive. The staff are excellent & nothing is a problem.

First hotel stay since, well, you know what. The rooms were newly renovated and had everything that was needed. Most importantly, the staff were wonderful, as has been our experience previously, but with the recent shutdowns, there seemed to be that bit more. A lovely time. Thank you.

My husband and I had an eight night stay at Mercure Central recently while I had surgery in Sydney. The hotel was not busy because of the virus. We booked a premium room as we were staying for a longer time. The noise from the room above was awful, banging etc and at one stage so loud and awful it forced the opening of the return air and airconditioning pipes open! The room was not as clean as it could have been, dirty greasy footprints on the tiles and even eight nights later it was still there, as was the chewing gum (?) or whatever it was on the carpet. A pity as we love this hotel and will stay here again because of the friendly staff and the convenience of location.

just overall pleased with our new discovery. They really treat Accor members well (gold) and provide us with excellent service and great value. We went ahead and booked another two stays at the time of our last booking for this. Our son now boards at a private school and this is central to our needs and close to central station for him to visit us. They stock a great range of Sydney Brewing and I did really enjoy Agave Ginger Cider in the bar!

Travelling with my children. On check in was asked plans, mentioned taking them to the movies. A little later on returning to room found a nice card with message about going to movies and a large block of Toblerone for the kids. Nice personal touch.

Helpful staff at the restaurant. Especially Natasha and Juliette. They have some more specials but I think it would be nice to see more specials being experimented with. It would be great if they could take more advantage in the drop in seafood prices at the moment.

Very disappointed to say I will not be returning to this hotel which I have stayed at many times because of the meeting/function centre management's complete disregard of and inattention to my request for help to hold a meeting between 3 people. Three separate discussions with hotel reception and management failed to gain any interest to help a long time Accor Premier Vacation Club and Accor Plus member.

Weekend away in Sydney. The hotel is conveniently located across from Sydney central train station. I found the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. Eve's Place is a quiet bar with friendly staff and good food and drink. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Handy CBD hotel close to everything

I have stayed at Mercure Sydney several times themes recent last weekend. I live is Sydney so I find getting to and from the hotel by public transport convenient. My preferred room is one with a balcony overlooking Railway Square bus terminal. The rooms are clean and tidy with enough space so as to not feel claustrophobic. As a Platinum Accor Plus member I was delighted to receive welcome gifts of wine, cake and chocolate dipped strawberries soon after arrival. The breakfast area in Platform 818 offers a high quality range of food and beverages to ensure a great start to the day. I would particularly like to commend Riley whose bubbly personality, barista skills and attention to guests' needs during breakfast really makes staying at this hotel a great experience. I will be back! Soon.

Wonderful hotel - great location, although the person checking me in was difficult to understand and hear. Apart from that we greatly appreciated the upgrade to Level 13. Rooms have been renovated and are excellent, free water a bonus. The free drink in the bar attached should be for all beers rather than the local brew - minor detail.

From check in to check out a great stay. Rooms are well equiped and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel recognises the loyalty program which is a plus. Breakfast is good and has slight variances daily which assists the monotony of same same.Riley needs a special mention - a great ambassador to the hotel restaurant. Happy hour Mon to Fri from 4-6 pm is a starter to visit some of the local pubs which have some good food deals. The hotel is well positioned at the top end of George Street, close to Central Station and the New Tram to Circular Quay. Nothing to complain about here -- and i'll be back

my wife and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel which so convienant to all types of transport to help you get around Sydney it has had refurbishment since our last stay and is looking very nice the revamp restaurant is very roomy and the food is very good revamped rooms are nice and fresh staff are all very friendly and effiecent well done

The new rooms are Mercure are amazing. New coat of paint/renovated bath rooms now give this hotel a touch of style. The older rooms were in desperate need of TLC. Among the refurb is the main breakfast area - which also looks great. The bar area is now very classy.

This is a sensational Hotel located right in the heart of Sydney City. You have Central station and the Bus Interchange at your front door. The restaurant is magnificent and the food well priced (Even better if an Accor Plus member) or you can try Eves bar for pub type meals. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. A great hotel. We will be back

Shared the breakfast restaurant with 400 band students and the process was efficient and the food plentiful and varied. Extra seating was put on the tables cleared quickly so no one had to wait at such a busy time
