The hotel was excellent, staff, rooms, breakfast, bar & meals. Would definitely recommend. So close to everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Nothing was an issue. Will definitely stay there again.

I will sum this up very quickly - it is awful! Do not stay at this hotel. The bedroom floor was covered in food remnants, the shower and bathroom was like a barbers salon with hairs everywhere, the floor was disgusting with dried blood under the sink area! Despite 3 requests to have the room cleaned properly all I got was new towels and the bed was made! The breakfast was passable and breakfast staff were pleasant - something positive! The reception staff were the rudest I have ever encountered globally! The whole place was just dirty and if you look behind the reception into the back room (probably managers office) you will see why - complete mess in there too! I never received 1 apology. Somebody did put some new batteries in the AC unit which unsurprising now shows travellodge! You have been warned! stay elsewhere!!!!

If there was a zero, I’d rate Ibis Styles zero. We booked a room for two adults and two teenage children through Booking.com. The booking was absolutely clear how many people would be staying. We queued for an hour at reception, and when we finally got there we were told that the room could not accommodate four and we would not be allowed to use it. We pointed out that the hotel was obliged to fulfil the contract and provide us with appropriate accommodation. The manager was intransigent, telling us that they were having problems with Booking.com and that we needed to contact them. We poured out that the contractual arrangement in a Booking.com booking is between the guest and the hotel and that Booking.com is not a party. Eventually, we got a key to the room and went to get changed. We contacted Booking.com who confirmed the contractual arrangement and contacted the hotel. I went down to reception to show the manager our booking and Booking.com’s Ts&Cs which a crystal clear that the contractual relationship. One of the managers was short to the point of being downright rude and didn’t even have courtesy to introduce herself. I then left with my daughters to go to a concert we were very much looking forward to. About an hour later, my partner rang me to say that there were police at the room to escort us from the hotel. They quickly realised that they had been called out under false premises and this was a civil issue. Yes, that’s right, the manager of Ibis Styles called the police to ask them to remove us. There are heroes in this; Booking.com for arranging alternative accommodation that they were not obliged to do. The Uber driver who helped my partner with our bags. And the police officers who quickly realised that the hotel manager was wasting their time with a civil matter and that there was no grounds for them to remove us from the premises. As for Ibis Styles manager; customer service involves fulfilling the contract that your business has entered into with your customers. It involves being helpful, polite and contrite when you’re business has made an error. It involves sorting that error out. It does not involve expecting your customers to sort out your error with your agents, it does not involve bullying your customer to leave rather than it most certainly does not involve subjecting your paying customers to the stress of having police come to their room. Staff were ok but cleanliness was extremely disappointing. First day the room was cleaned (lucky me) after this, 2nd day bathroom cleaned but bed not made. 3rd day bed made but bathroom was left out. Day 4 everything done half way - even left cleaning cloth on the bedside table. Rooms are old and need serious attention. Aircon has two settings - Off or Antarctica… Avoid if you can.

Counter staff was OK but issue was with the cleaning staff. Perhaps they are very short handed. We stayed there for 4 nights and washroom wasn't cleaned even once. Location is near to Sydney Central walkable, there is no parking but there is street parking which you may find. Breakfast was also OK. Given an option near cbd and prices in same range I should have tried with other hotels.
