Loved staying here! Fantastic service, loved the atmosphere. Best experience staying that little bit out of town gave us some peace and quiet after the excitement of town. Clean, comfortable rooms and bathroom. Warm and cosy.

Room, view and service was awesome! The upgraded room was really nice and will recommend the hotel. The only failing was the food. First night we were there we went to the restaurant to have dinner. I have a 10 month old, 4 year old, my wife and myself. We waited 45 minutes for 2 dishes and one kids meal. When they did come out. Two of the dishes were dry, and uneatable, and one was fine but quite simple considering the quality of the hotel. This really let down the hotel in general, and we ordered in for the rest of the week. The staff on the floor of the restaurant was great, and I tipped them. It was only the food that was the problem. The stay was good, thanks

We enjoyed our stay , only negative comment would be that when booking 2 rooms that they be the same quality, one of our rooms was disappointing but staff did help out by rectifying this .

First of all …..the upgrade to the Lake view was the icing on the cake for us..the most beautiful view ever and we would sit with our coffees and watch the Earnslaw go by. A special mention to Samantha and Josh who were so very helpful and very welcoming. The bed was so very comfortable and we slept like logs. We have stayed in almost all the hotels inQueenstown as we come down for a break at least twice a year. We will only stay with you at the Mercure from now on as we have found “ our place”. Please reserve room 206 for us from now on. Lololol. We have recommended two set of our friends to the Mercure and they have already booked their next trips with you. You did good Mercure. Thank you

Accom basic and ok - food absolutely terrible

You get what you pay for, not a bad stay all in all but the food really let it down for us. For one meal in the restaurant - they clearly took a portion off my partners meal (spicy pasta) and gave it to my kid (the same spicy pasty different to what was on the kids menu - my partners meal was really reduced in size which is why we figured it out..my kids 'pasta' was as spicy as the adults and so she couldn't eat it. Took 40 mins to come outz. Room service is nothing more than tasteless deep fried crap and/or tasteless blobs of dough. We wont go back because of the food. The service of the staff though could not be faulted in any way - super friendly and lovely.

Not enough staff No maintanace on building Shower would be hot and cold Tried to in house dinning 2 and a half hours later to get main meals Breakfast time , some mornings no glass cups. No coffee cups Then food would be empty at the buffet The list could go on We stayed for 9 nights for $4500.00 I have stayed with my family at 5 star resorts for less and better conditions and service

I have also investigated your comments about assistance with the bags and I can see that the evening reception team had organized a note to book a taxi to the airport and assisting with your four bags however it appears that the team missed the note about the bag on Wednesday morning. The reception team is very apologetic for this incident and very disappointed because they are very proud of their service delivery. Some changes to be reviewed for their operations and hopefully we can get even better at managing this in the future. Waited for almost an hour and half for our food and drinks, especially the drinks. The draft beer wasn’t served even after 2 reminders). Tables that arrived after us were being served with their drinks already while we are still waiting for ours. However the lady in charge of the restaurant was good and courteous.

Welcoming check in and even a reserved car park space. Large room with great views over the lake. Appreciated welcome gift. Enjoyable meals in the restaurant. All in all a wonderful stay at a great hotel with friendly staff. Attention the marketing department: When I am on holiday the last thing I want to be doing is filling out “How did we do?” forms. Even more annoying is to receive reminders every few days. So please send one request once and leave it at that. If I feel that I want to provide feedback I do it after the trip is over.

We had a couple of nights at the Mercure over an extended weekend and were once again impressed with the service we encountered during our stay. I can't say enough about the pleasantness and freindliness of the staff let alone their professionalism. A hotel is just that without it's people and the people make this place great. Great pool and spa area alone with a good kitchen.

We stayed 3 nights, super friendly front of house, upgraded to lake view room with beautiful view of remarkables. Room was clean and tidy. Had breakfast too (was ok - perhaps a bit heavy on the greasy stuff but that perhaps reflects my personal preferences!). Parking on site (free). Suggest wine list could have more local wines. Overall was great value for money.
