February Family Stay

Overall a good stay. The front desk could have been a little more helpful though. We booked a family suite that was supposed to have a king size bed plus two single beds for our kids. The room was fairly small for what was labeled a family suite. There was only one twin size bed with some sort of trundle bed underneath. The bed underneath was tiny and had no linens! Called front desk to request linens or another bed. It took so long for them to send it that my kids just fell asleep on our bed. Not the most ideal situation. Therefore, it felt like we were somewhat deceived with the booking description. Other than that, the hotel facilities are great. The daily breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. Service at the restaurant was excellent. We were very well taken care of by Marcio Nascimiento. So kind and so efficient!! Pools are very nice and everyone at the hotel was very friendly.

My partner and I went for breakfast and we were welcomed so warmly. We got a table on the balcony with an incredible view. Our waitress, Edna, was outstanding. Her warmth and charm took our experience to the highest level. The food was delicious, so much variety. Edna also took photos and videos for us to remember this moment.

We stayed two nights between flights from London to Buenos Aires. From the moment we arrived every member of staff was absolutely charming and could not have done more. We had a lovely suite with a superb view of the beach. Bruno, from Concierge, organised a personal tour to Christ the Redeemer and we had the great pleasure of Cesar escorting us. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Rio with the bonus of his English being excellent. Whilst with him my wife received a message from our doctor in England that she needed an antibiotic, Caesar came to the rescue and got us to a good pharmacy and we managed to get the correct medicine. He went above and beyond to assist. We cannot speak more highly of the hotel and its staff. Definitely the place to stay being well located at one end of Copacabana beach and a few minutes walk to Ipanema. We considered the Belmond Copacabana Palace but were glad we chose the Fairmont because of its location. Definitely to be highly recommended.
