I was served by waiters Marcio Nascimento and Igor —- this was one of the best experiences that I have ever had… The level of attentiveness and care was superb… I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a great experience!

Very disappointing. Poor response to issues

Nice location, but when a five star hotel doesn’t have hot water in the shower and the only response is a “we’re very sorry for that” it’s pretty disappointing. Additionally, they did not inform me that the wing we were in was undergoing renovations. Didn’t discover that until we had largely unpacked and didn’t feel like packing up again and moving, so we just lived with it. Compared to the Ritz-Carlton response to a minor issue (broken hair dryer) of a $100 restaurant credit for the inconvenience, the Fairmont response of “we’re sorry’ for a very unpleasant cold shower is really weak. Issues are going to crop up, but it is how they are responded to that separates the true five star hotels from the wannabes.

The views and location were great and the waiters were very helpful and friendly particularly Murilo, Marcio, and Karime (gentleman with the glasses). The receptionists were very helpful, and the hotel felt safe. I enjoyed the amenities. The only reason that this is not 5 stars is because we did not receive housekeeping every morning and had to call to request it. But that may be hotel policy. We had never had that experience at other hotels.

Marcio was an incredible server! Food was perfect. Best meal I have had in a long time. The view was great and I recommend this place to anyone considering it. Tomahawk steak was fantastic.
