Very attentive staff, from the moment we stepped out of the car to check in. Shout out to Marcio Nascimento, our server every morning at the hotel restaurant. He took great care of us and all the other guests.

Best breakfast in Rio de Janeiro, Food is delicious, the view is amazing, but the service is what is the best here. If you are lucky, you will be met by a smiling Edna♥️ She makes you feel sooo good during your meal. ♥️ end the meal with a little glass of champagne 🥳♥️🙏 This is heaven

Such a great experience …. We stayed at the Fairmont Rio and beside the great amenities … we were extremely surprise by the Baiana Jucelia …. Such a gem …. she made us the BEST TAPIOCA EVER ….. plus incredible omelets. Such a plus for our stayed and we are looking forward to next year. Baiana we will see you again SOON SOON MUCH LOVE Renato

We were torn between staying at The Fairmont and the Palace. The Fairmont got the nod as it was cheaper! Still pricey but we thought it would be a place we would enjoy. And we did. Our flight from London arrived early and we were at the hotel at 8.30am. Check-in is at 3pm but they promised to do what they could to get us in earlier. So we went for a walk - all the way to the other end of Copacabana. Stopped for drinks and lunch. Back to the hotel and the room was ready just after 3pm. They were embarrassed that we had waited for so long but kindly send a bottle of sparkling wine up to us. We had a Gold one bedroom suite - 1374, so on the top floor with a view to die for across the entire bay of Copacabana. 4 balconies! Comfy 6 foot bed. Bathroom disappointingly small with a single basin and just a shower. One person at a time! Room service from Maria was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the Gold lounge which offered a haven of peace. We tried the main restaurant one morning for breakfast and it was just too busy! The gold lounge also offered 2 hours of drinks 6-8pm which was great fun! Also a decent selection of canapés, cheese and meats and a hot dish. That did us for dinner. A gold room also enabled use of 8 comfy sun bathing loungers in a separate area in front of the front pool. We had lunch one day (not great) but generally drinks service was ok and the view across to the beach/sea was fabulous. The two pools themselves are packed which is a downside to having two modest pools in a very large hotel in a City. All in all, a great hotel to stay in and we enjoyed it, particularly all the wonderful helpful staff. Glad we didn’t stay at the Palace. Would return if 1374 was available!
