No - Novotel for us!

Arrived early on a Saturday morning and the hotel were always kind enough to store our bags for us while we potted round Rio and travelled across Brazil. Check-in was terribly painful and if there was a big queue, you could be there for a while! The lifts were also interesting involving a lengthy wait and only taking you to certain floors )one lift only road to the top floor! - Tip more lifts can be found round by the ground floor toilet area) Rooms were comfortable, but the bathroom area had sharp corners while entering the shower that caught me off guard. We ordered from the 24 hour room service late one evening, only to be called 45 minutes later, to be informed our order wasn't available which was disappointing. On the positive side the rooms were nice and clean and the location was great on Copacabana Beach. They were great pool parties on the top floor bar on the evenings we were there and the food was okay in the restaurant for breakfast, although they did run out on both of Bowles on frequent occasions.

Very good experience.

Very good experience in the hotel overall, the room is very comfortable. The staff is very warming and always with a smile, specially Denize, in the restaurant support.

This is a great hotel, very close to the beach and with views over the sea. The rooms are well-sized and comfortable. The cleaning service is great. Breakfast is definitely worth paying for. The rooftop terrace is probably the best part of the hotel and there's a really nice vibe there, with a good selection of food and drinks.

Would definitely use again if in Rio

Brilliant clean modern family hotel. Quite on a night. We were on the 13th floor with the sky bar and swimming pool on the 21st and never heard a thing.That turns into disco/night bar on Friday and Saturday with parties for Halloween and birthdays but good fun with children allowed extra cost with locals and concierge on lifts and always 24/7 on doors.Very good value food upstairs. Very good breakfast turn over fast and poached eggs order if required. All languages spoken. Lime is a a village within the city and is safe according to reception who will help out with anything and locals. A few bars and very good restaurants within a two block walking distance on a night. Sit with the locals and have a large bottle of beer 600ml and two small glasses the Brazilian way. 2 mins to the beach sea is very cold and rough but good for paddling. Food and drinks are all very cheap( wine same as home but good quality) meat especially fillets are exceptionally good and all restaurants on the front are not tourist traps.The red samba bar on the beach has lovely staff as do most but watch out as most things in small bars are ALL deep fried finger food and try their local cocktail Caiprihni the lemon is lovely but only buy from a bar not the beach. All street food and gifts other that that are ok to buy. Walk from the hotel on the front straight over to Ipanema approx 3 hrs with a very nice shopping st down the middle. Taxis are cheap approx 100 to go to the airport. 200 theirs is less than £30. Definitely bring a brolly and a thin Mac it rains a lot.😂just be careful as in any large city in the world take no expensive jewellery, bags and you don’t need high heels at all as pavements are all small tiles.locals wear dark/ neutral colours shirts t shirt and flip flops both sexes.

Wonderful place with very pleasant staff! Denize and Roberto were perfectly pleasant! The food is amazing and the view is stunning.
