Nice Novotel in good location

Second time to London and first time to this Novotel. We arrived late on New Year’s Day and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to an Executive room because of my gold Accor loyalty status. We had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar which was a nice area. The room was pretty standard for a Novotel but perfectly functional. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but pillows were okay. I can appreciate an open concept bathroom, but I do like a separate toilet closet from the shower area. I really do like the Karma bath amenities and since we were in an executive room, we had conditioner and lotion. Note: standard rooms do not have either as I inquired prior to our arrival. The workout room is small but also functional and more importantly- cool since it’s in the basement by the car park! Though someone turned the heat on before our last workout on departure but luckily I was able to adjust the thermostat. Speaking of thermostat adjustment, you have absolute control in your room and the windows open which for me is a major plus as I’m always warm even in the winter. The location is suitable for walking to most public transportation and nearby sites. The hotel itself is clean and staff is efficient. We did have to request cleaning on our first day but I think that is because the hotel was full for New Years. We didn’t have breakfast but it was quite busy every day. Another great feature is the reusable water bottle and water fountains on every floor. Wish every Novotel (or every hotel for that matter) offered this. I would recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to book again upon my return to London.

Very good hotel - but poor breakfast

Stayed for 3 nights with work. Quick and easy check in and appreciated the upgrade with my Accor ALL gold status. Nice comfortable room with everything I could need. Housekeeping was generally excellent - except they sometimes forgot to put caffeinated nespresso capsules in the room (but readily fixed!). The gym was also a useful feature. The only let down was breakfast. You could tell that corners had been cut... The juice is awful - it’s one of machines that tries to dilute juice concentrate on the spot (and fails miserably). Coffee was unpleasant tasting (despite being bean-to-cup). And the continental selection, was low quality - cheap cheese and soggy mini croissants. Despite being a cheaper hotel with a more limited breakfast selection, the ibis Waterloo down the road does a much better job. Nonetheless, I would happily recommend and come back to the Novotel Waterloo :)

Little bit of shut eye needed.

Having to attend another high powered meeting in London and therefore being able to escape the clutches of my older wife I revisited the Novotel . The proximity of Waterloo is just dandy . Breakfast staff are very welcoming but porridge should be available as should a nut mixture ,both of which are essential for lowering cholesterol. I didn’t like having to pay a deposit as though I may run off with the hairdryer. I do like the small gym. I would have liked welcome biscuits . My only gripe is that,parents with young children seem to frequent the hotel and it is challenging to sleep when the parents do not attempt to stop their progeny shouting on the corridors. I’m sure Legoland is great fun but I don’t want to be informed of this at ten thirty pm ! Ciao !

It is totally unacceptable that hotel charged 50 GBP as room damage and cleaning fee almost after 1,5 hours we checked out and although we stayed as 2 +1 child we paid triple fee . Please be careful this hotel can use your credit card to charge their expenses as they did to us . Proof is attached.
