Good for 3 star not a five star high tea

I was so disappointed in the high tea. Other than a lovely room nothing was up to the Savoy of old days. 1. Round tables accommodate 5 people - if your party is larger than sit on long table which is a very different experience. 2. Service was quite nice but really sub par and slow . In part, needed more staff to service our larger party. 3. Failed to bring out the birthday cake , and 4. I prefer lovely tea pots and nice china- they serve tea out metal pots and just not the experience i expected . It was overall fine and nothing to complain about for a 3-4 star expectation. Well below Savoy’s reputation and standard of the old - sorry.

Some good old consumer advice. I conducted a wee comparison between some of the very best hotels in London of which the Savoy won. Hands down. They serve the best Old Fashioned in London. I'm sorry Corinthia and Ritz. Nice, very nice, but not as nice.

Blown away. Started visiting here once a year 6 years ago. We now visit 3 times a year! From the minute you arrive to the minute you go you are blown away by the staff and hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. We dined at the Savoy Grill and the food was 1st class. Special mention to the lovely Hannah who has the biggest most welcoming smile, to Rob on the front door who is just amazing and finally Ben! He is a credit to the Savoy. Looking forward to our next visit already.

There’s truly nowhere like it. We come to London solely to spend our time at the hotel. The team are so lovely and kind, the food is incredible, and the suites feel so homely and cosy. Me and my husband don’t get a lot of time away from work, but when we do we know our time at The Savoy will be the very best use of it.

As we arrived at the front entrance the staff were lovely and very helpful and kind. Our check in was fast and the room very comfortable. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Had a swim, sauna and steam in the morning - lush! American Bar was the highlight for us - a delight of senses!
